I can't speak for them, but to me it's about how they kinda just raped and pillaged my childhood obsession and made the most soulless shitty cashgrab movie from it.
I don't hate movies for kids, some can be decent (the original lego movie from like 2014 was alright). That movie had at least some effort put into it, like it was made by people who wanted to tell a unique story through lego. This minecraft movie is literally just Jumanji with a loose Minecraft theme with no passion at all. Did you see "Steve"? It's Jack Black with a blue shirt, that's it.

You're right, absolutely right. I can't even play modern Minecraft without a bunch of oldtroon resource packs on top of it.
I hate to be dramatic about SNCA but it's kinda like the atomic bombings in WW2. Nobody really cares that Japan was struggling with supplies/oil/tanks/food/whatever, it's those two bombs that define the end of the war in the Pacific. The shitty updates Mojang did were like the air raids and firebombings, this movie is the finishing blow.

I love building bricks with Minecrap. Building bricks with Minecrap is the best thing and the most amount of fun you can have while playing an app. I understand why all the kids are playing this game these days -- it's because they like to build brown bricks with Minecrap. I also like to build brown bricks with Minecrap. It's the most fun you can possibly have. What is the point of Minecrap?
