I'm not sure a game for The Lawnmower Man would work
Now how about a movie based off of the original Mad Max from 1979? Yes there already is a Mad Max game but this Mad Max movie is much different.

I'd imagine you'd be given to choice to play either as a highway patrol unit (yellow muscle car) or a crazy street racer/bandit. I love the vibes of this movie alongside the vibes of 20th century car chase films.
I should play more Driver for the PS1.
