Ummm xir do you have a source on that or something along those lines? Also Kaworu was originally supposed to be Satan and they instead turned him into Jesus. Which is wrong.
It's just fucking obvious if you watch the show, he's the angelic (demonic) deceiver of the heroes who infiltrates their garden of eden and almost destroys it. "Oh but he actually ended up liking shinji" no the point is we don't know if he actually developed a heart and liked shinji and humanity or if it was just another one of his tricks and he is just as disinterested as the other angels. This builds on the anxiety Shinji has over if anyone actually likes him for himself and not for his skills.Ummm xir do you have a source on that or something along those lines?
My bad, I meant reboots.I have grown a little over the years. Mostly abandoning my anger in favor of reclusiveness, although you can still see it come to the surface every now and then.
Prequels?
Also I met several chicks in my life that were fujoshis and fetishized the kaworu-shinji thing which was not how I interpreted it at all. I view kaworu like ET in that hes an alien trying to make a bond with someone totally different from him. Japs have a hard time making humans act like monsters unless they go in the direction of Elfen Lied, Bokurano, Re:Zero, Berserk, and other grimdark series so they lean into turning a normal guy into a supervillain over one episode which is what kaworu really was. He was useful in EoE for giving an alternative to Rei that Shinji would be comfortable with but until 3.33 many years later, he left a lot to be desired as a character. "Anywhere can be heaven as long as you choose to live" is still an awesome quote thoughbeit, one that a lot of younger people need to remember as they grow up.
Dolly Doll who is your favourite character in Evangelion?Cool show that gets me lots of (You)'s when someone screenshots my posts about it.

This so much, everyone else is such an unbearable whiner.Rei, then Gendo
Yeah and the personal journey she makes through the series is very interesting too.View attachment 40065
Wow, Rei is my favourite character too.
I think her qualities she embodies, such as stoicism, resilience, self-sacrifice and selflessness are very admirable and noble.
gemmy scenes.Yeah and the personal journey she makes through the series is very interesting too.
This and
Are two of my favorite scenes in the series.

If you've seen 4.0, the slice of life section in the town is really good too. This scene from the Rebuilds with Shinji trying to rescue Rei is also very beautiful.
The Rebuilds are truely a glistening, genre re-defining gemeral, my mind was blown away like Ronnie McNutt when I watch xhem o algoIf you've seen 4.0, the slice of life section in the town is really good too.

What are you talking about dude. She doesn't actually change at all in the original series and just serves as a plot device just like she exists as in-universe (basically a flesh puppet). She only undergoes some development in the reboots which are bad and are the unpleasant residue of a truecel ascending...Yeah and the personal journey she makes through the series is very interesting too.

She goes from an unthinking golem to sacrificing her life to save someone else. Not to mention in EoE she defies the only person that she liked at the beginning of the series to side with his son, starts instrumentality, then stops it and dies right after just to help out Shinji. And that's not getting to the rebuilds yet. Her character development is muted and not as flashy as Asuka's or Shinji's but she is incredibly well written and inspired many hundreds of other characters in other anime for a good reason.View attachment 40559

"I like 4.0 Rei" is different than "I like Rei (canon)". They're very different, 4.0 Rei is fleshed out specifically because of popular demand, just like how Akira Toriyama fleshes out Bejita-San because he is a fan favorite and not really because he cares that much about Vegeta's character development. Not that I would ever compare Vegeta to Rei, Vegeta is 10000 times better as a character. If you've seen 4.0, the slice of life section in the town is really good too.
The rebuilds are bad... THE REBUILDS ARE BAD!!!! Please trust me on this one. I thought it was well-known fact but apparently some like the rebuilds?
