Can you be more specific?I know that you are an existential nihilist, but what are your thoughts on moral and political nihilism?

Yeah we should genuinely put a 308 hollowpoint in his heart in Roblox so he stops causing problems for everyone, same with Reggie, skayjos, wicker, goonclown, etc.Just shoot Connor Howard in the head and he stops being a problem. They have to find a new guy to be the new problem.
But shooting Connor Howard in the head solves an immediate problem permanently. Just shoot Connor Howard in the head and murder him.
In Minecraft.
discovered them only JUST NOW?Recently, I discovered the Trollge/dark trollface memes, which are usually like this:

These memes are, obviously, meant as ironic pitch-black humor, but I can still very much relate to them. They reflect the meaninglessness and emptiness of being alive on this miserable planet.
I should note that I was not raised religious. My fixation on existential questions is just typical autism on my part. It, of course, intensified following my arrest. When you're locked in a room by yourself for extended periods of time with absolutely nothing to entertain you, you, of course, tend to retreat into your thoughts. The non-stop existential dread that I always felt was simply made a million times worse by prison and especially by solitary confinement.
Moral nihilism is the idea that objective morality doesn’t exist. (Most moral nihilists don’t 100% reject morality, obviously most aren’t ok with things like murder or rape). Can you be more specific?
I would say start with the recent Mainlander, Philosophy of Redemption (I've been a fan of the guy for many years but the only english translations were partial and incomplete, it got a good english translation in 2024), the book is not that big, but you can also watch the videos on youtube to give you a quick overview of what these people believed in, Schopenhauer is a bit bigger with his The World as Will and Representation, Mainlander was a student of Schopenhauer so they are both similar, with Mainlander expanding on SchopenhauerNot yet, but I am definitely interested. What writings of theirs should I start with?
Is this where the "nothing ever happens" stems from?Political nihilism: I think that political parties and elections only exist as a distraction and that all politicians are bought by various corporation owners and work for their agenda. This means that I completely refuse to take part in all elections and political processes.
No. “Nothing ever happens” is more noticing that the media tends to blow fairly minor events out of proportions and make it seem like something massive is happening when in real life, it’s not that big of a deal. Political nihilism is a refusal to take part in any political system because none of them benefit you. It’s often summed up as “wanting to destroy the current system without proposing an alternative”.Is this where the "nothing ever happens" stems from?
I was in prison in 2018.you
discovered them only JUST NOW?
That was a thing in like 2018 dude
And it's so far devolved by now that it's turned into whatever this shit is:

I think that all morality is essentially meaningless. It's all invented by humans, and it all varies wildly depending on what culture one grew up in (and, of course, depending on the circumstances). With that said, I do not deliberately try to be cruel or sadistic, and I have nothing but contempt for those who do.Moral nihilism is the idea that objective morality doesn’t exist. (Most moral nihilists don’t 100% reject morality, obviously most aren’t ok with things like murder or rape).
political nihilism is the rejection of all political ideals.
What I’m asking is essentially if you’re a nihilist in more ways than just not believing that life has any meaning.
As a more clear example I can give my feelings on these.
Moral nihilism: I think that most morality is made up to keep people enslaved. The idea that you shouldn’t covet and that you need to think of everyone’s best when trying to make money and so on only exist to prevent people from being anything other than obedient subjects for the elites. I do however recognize that obviously violent crime is bad and wrong.
Political nihilism: I think that political parties and elections only exist as a distraction and that all politicians are bought by various corporation owners and work for their agenda. This means that I completely refuse to take part in all elections and political processes.
I hope that made it clearer. I’m terrible at explaining things.
I just watched this video on Mainlander, as I had not heard of him before:I would say start with the recent Mainlander, Philosophy of Redemption (I've been a fan of the guy for many years but the only english translations were partial and incomplete, it got a good english translation in 2024), the book is not that big, but you can also watch the videos on youtube to give you a quick overview of what these people believed in, Schopenhauer is a bit bigger with his The World as Will and Representation, Mainlander was a student of Schopenhauer so they are both similar, with Mainlander expanding on Schopenhauer
They are both quite pessimistic and nihilistic in a way talking about life's inherent meaninglessness, if you can't stomach the books there are many youtube videos on both of them

The part about a utopian State reminded me a little bit of Dostoevsky's observation in "Notes from Underground": that if man had nothing to do but eat and procreate and didn't have to strive for anything, in perfect bliss - he would smash it all to pieces just to reassert his agency in the world; in essence, so that something would happen.
Your views on political nihilism are the same as mine but much better phrased.I think that all morality is essentially meaningless. It's all invented by humans, and it all varies wildly depending on what culture one grew up in (and, of course, depending on the circumstances). With that said, I do not deliberately try to be cruel or sadistic, and I have nothing but contempt for those who do.
I've often espoused an extremely eclectic array of wildly incompatible political ideologies, ranging from far-right to far-left, basically just trying my best to always be as iconoclastic, contrarian, and mugwumpian as possible and to always disagree with whoever I was arguing with at the time. There really is no political ideology that I do not hold in the utmost contempt, which is about as nihilistic as it gets.
Oh, I for sure think that most morality was invented to keep people down - particularly petty morality like the kind proliferated by Abrahamic religions. Abrahamic religion has been, without a doubt, the single most destructive and oppressive force in all of human history.Your views on political nihilism are the same as mine but much better phrased.
Our view on morality is also pretty much the same. The difference being that you don’t seem think that morality was invented in order to keep people down whereas I do.
Happy to see that we agree on that as well then. Abrahamic religions are the epitome of slave morality and have never benefited anyone.Oh, I for sure think that most morality was invented to keep people down - particularly petty morality like the kind proliferated by Abrahamic religions. Cioran is great, I like him a lot, he tries to tackle much of the same questions, nihilism, despair and life's meaninglessness and critics human made constructs like religion, morality and philosophy as things that try and hide away the true nature of what we're feeling, he also talks about the futile pursuit of happiness much like Schopenhauer. That were kinda his themes, if you want try to read his On The Heights of Despair and The New Gods (if you google "the new gods" without mentioning the author it gives you some marvel slop btw :)))) ) but it's been a while since I've read him.Have you ever heard of Thomas Ligotti or Emil Cioran? They are apparently quite similar.
Very informative. You've gotten better at writing articles imoI decided to write an article about Ovarit shutting down. It is, in typical fashion, a very biting, un-PC, radical centrist piece: https://moonmetropolis.substack.com/p/the-fall-of-ovarit-a-classic-case
