September 22nd, 2024: I finished off the off-brand rice krispies for breakfast today, I continued reading the bible on the way to work and I saw two of my coworkers on the bus, one of them being my new manager. When the bus arrived at our stop it was raining very heavily. I clocked in later and did my shelf stocking and obscure places in the store. I got lucky during lunch because Mr. Medici paid for my lunch. Later on in the day my new manager tells me that he wants me to power wash this wall that has a bunch of grease on it, which I do, but practically none of the grease comes off the wall, so this guy who I will be calling "The Cook" just decided to paint over the wall because it was easier. I eventually got home to find out that my roommate Enosh was doing this at the start of the fall festival and I knew he was going to make a huge mess in the kitchen.
At church today, the priest gave a sermon about this guy named Rapinoe, the story goes that Rapinoe was this guy from Uganda that was kind of mentally and physically disabled and all the people in the village ignored him at best and he survived off of the food of others. After a while one of the priests that was sent over from our parish notices this and takes issue with the fact that Rapinoe was living as a homeless person in Uganda, so the priest requests a place for him to live and he gets it. Eventually the priest is transferred to another parish in Uganda, but he requests that Rapinoe come along with him, which he does. At the facility Rapinoe is the groundskeeper and he is notable for doing an excellent job, cleaning up all the fallen fruit, sweeping the goat and chicken poop off the concrete, arranging chairs in a perfect semicircle under this one tree so that all the people who visit have a place to sit in the shade, and quickly going out to unlock the gates and greet the people who came off the bus with the phrase "I'm fine" (his understanding of English was not that good according to the priest.) He had a habit of making sure people would see the beautiful sunset. One day when the priest came to the facility, he noticed that the gates had not been unlocked, which had never happened before, so he has to get one of the only people who knew where Rapinoe put the keys, unlocking the gates to find that Rapinoe was laying on the dirt suffering from some medical issue. A few days later the priest performs the anointing of the sick before Rapinoe dies. The next day rolls around and the priest realizes that they need to do Rapinoe's job and he gets this other adult and 4 grade-school children to run around and do all his tasks. The priest used this conclusion to signify the importance of realizing what others do for us.

After Church I went to this local grocery store and bought some Rolling Rock beer and I tried it out at home, realizing why it was so cheap in the first place (it is beer watered down with sparkling water) and came back to see my roommate cooking beef stew, realizing that he made a mess in the kitchen, I went to my bedroom and slammed my head into a pillow repeatedly.
