June 26th, 2025: Back to work today, I woke up at 6:00am with the sun and spent most of my early morning working on my blog entry for the previous day due to how event filled it was. I was writing for like an hour before I had my breakfast of off brand lucky charms and milk. I eventually walked over to the bus stop at 9:45am and got on, I saw this woman I knew on the bus with her headphones on reading some normie book. I tried to say hi to her but she didn’t hear me. I got to work at 10:20am. I got into work and clocked in first thing. I checked the task list that Jesse gave me and it was mostly the normal stuff. First thing was dealing with some shipments we got, which as usual was Max reading off the list as we checked for it on the pallets. I had to take some cheese stuff, some cardboard boxes filled with beef, and a box of chicken, the cooler ended up crowded with the chicken box giving me flashbacks to my time at Kwik Trip when I would have to stock the boxes of chicken that this other guy would then fry, I always took my breaks at 10:45am when the chicken guy would clock in at 10:00am to fry chicken (although one of them was a woman) so the good food would only be out when I got back from lunch. When I got done with that, overheard Max saying:
“… With my birthday being December 26th, it would always be that it was just merged with Christmas but I was the odd one out in my family, all my brothers were born in July…”
I went to help John put the stuff in the warehouse as the dubstep guy put the stuff we already needed out. I helped John put the pasta stuff in numerical order on the shelf because it was one of my pet peeves. While I was walking back down Bill saw me while he was preparing dough balls for sale, he asked:
“Gemerson, do you want some dough?”
I said yes and ate a little bit, enjoying the flavor. I walked around to see what I could do and started on stocking the beverage aisle. Will had provided us some chicken soup for lunch.. Around this time it was 12:30pm so I decided to go for lunch. Bill gave me some more dough but Will found it disgusting and said I was going to get sick. I had my lunch and talked with Jill a bit more. She said she wanted to become a cashier while Hill tried to convince her to join our department. I went out to a different spot and wore my Sicilia hat, Tiffany said:
“Are you Italian?”
I replied:
“No I’m not, why does everybody think I’m Italian.”
She said:
“I don’t, I just saw the Sicily hat!”
“I mean it’s Italian.”
“Sicilians aren’t Italian?”
“What are you talking about Tiffany, Sicily is in Italy!”u
“It’s a separate island”
“Still under the jurisdiction of Italy!”
“It wasn’t always. My great grandfather was Sicilian and he’d get mad if you’d call him Italian.”
She talked about the North-South divide in Italy with all the industries like Ferrari up in the north while the farms were in the south, plus the mob presence in Sicily driving up crime. She asked me what my Pentecost medallion was and I explained that I got it from my sponsor for confirmation Joseph. I saw on Snapchat that Skeleton had posted something funny. I ended up going back to work to clean the windows in the store. I had my first break where I wrote more and pointed at fAsherah. I saw Biker and his girlfriend again. I checked in with Anne to find out that there wouldn’t be any deliveries until Saturday so that was out. I started on my closing tasks first by cleaning the bathrooms but Biker was in one of them so I had to wait. He came out and then I cleaned that one before doing the scrubbing, when the scrubbing was done I talked to an employee making a tiny pizza.
“What’s the pizza for?”
“It’s my dinner!”
I said bye to Jab and then emptied the trashes before facing up, I had a bus to catch to an event so I left a bit early, when I got out at 6:35pm I ran over to the bus stop to the Catholic social event I saw the guy who looked like Noahmusic2009 on the way wearing a Skibidi Toilet t-shirt. I ran and got there just in time for the bus, taking the bus all the way down to this college and then walking to a former industrial area, down some stairs, and then into the brewery and bar combined. I was one of the few people there at 6:57am, but more people trickled in, when I got my ticket for the free beer I walked over and ordered a tall glass of this golden ale, I handed my ID over to the bartender and she remarked:
“You’re making me feel old, I graduated high school in the year [2003] you were born.”
It’s quite interesting how that puts time into perspective. I got my ale and went over to the socialization space. I sipped a few before I first talked to this guy who used to live in Chicago before moving here. He remarked that everything was so much less expensive here as compared to Chicago. He graduated college in 2023. The next person I talked to was this woman who seemed nervous and shy. I decided to talk to her because she was standing alone. She hadn’t redeemed her ticket yet but she was super shy. I ended up getting this small pork sandwich that cost 16 dollars for my dinner and ate it as this friend of Cliffe talked to me about who he was. I remember him saying he was 34 years old or something, during this chat I saw the shy girl walk out alone. The next person I talked to was the leader of the event, she gave me a slice of dried mango. One girl I ended up talking to was the one who I asked for her Instagram but she shot me down. She told me that her parents are from Kerala, India and she graduated recently from the same college as I attend. The girl seemed more interested in me. Eventually she went off to talk to others and at 8:30am I took the bus home. I had a girl over and we watched an episode of Family guy with the Mr. Booze song and cuddled a bit before she left. (No we didn’t have sex)
