August 9th, 2024: I manage to defy all expectations by waking up one hour before my alarm clock went off, so I made myself breakfast and coffee and played on the Soycraft server harvesting more resources for my faction, eventually I had to go to work and on the way I managed to finish reading the book of Ruth (It is only 4 chapters long though.) At work I did some shelf stocking and vacuumed the HR offices. I had some red velvet gelato for one of my breaks, after my second break I had to start the closings all by myself because my manager hasn’t hired anybody else yet. After work my roommate did the best thing for the month and made us Cajun Jambalaya for dinner.

August 10th, 2024: I woke up today finding out that my roommate drank almost the rest of the milk so I had to make myself soft-boiled eggs and toast for breakfast, it was pretty good though. At work during my first break I finally decided to try their cannolis because Rose from Bible study said they were the best and I actually enjoyed it. For lunch I didn’t pack a drink so I decided to buy a Ghost Red Sour Patch Kids drink (God bless America) and felt fidgety for the rest of my shift. After closings I finally got to go home and play on Soycraft only to find out it was down for like an hour.

August 11th, 2024: Today was fun because the only other guy that is supposed to be doing closings with me left really early because he left early due to being sick or something (keep in mind I didn’t see him all day.) I had some leftovers from last night’s dinner for lunch and barely managed to eat it all because it kind of sucked. After work I played a bit more on Soycraft before realizing I had church to attend and rushed there. At church I actually saw this girl from my Bible study group who I will call Rose with her boyfriend, although we didn’t chat much before and after the sermon we did do the peace thing. After getting back I decided to hop back on Soycraft to find out it went down because of Sonoro’s clitty leakage over being raided.

August 12th, 2024: Pretty chill day today, woke up and got breakfast and tried to get back on Soycraft after that, but failed yet again because of Sonoro’s continued clitty leakage. At work I started off the day in the dungeon before working on stocking the beverages, around the middle of the day after lunch my mom texted me about meeting to discuss an overseas program and paying for next semester. Although my parents and I have agreed on me spending the semester abroad somewhere in Europe (Because of my Irish citizenship,) we are still discussing what country to go to because my mom wants me to go to England. After lunch I did some vacuuming and had to portion out some snacks with the occasional break to help out the guy who hired me make more shelves for the warehouse. After work I took the bus home and my roommate cooked us some frozen pizza for dinner while we watched Season 5 Episode 5 of Futurama.

August 13th, 2024: Had to wake up early just for work, finished off some cereal. First task was mostly me finishing up the portioning that I did yesterday, which ended up taking me two hours, after that it was mostly just stocking more shelves for the rest of the day and sweeping up the sawdust from adding new shelves, after that I went home and had some Mac N Cheese for dinner.

August 14th, 2024: Got to do absolutely nothing today except play more Soycraft on the server, my faction found a base and we got started mining for stuff and explored a while before we finally decided on a base. After that I decided to try out this old-timey restaurant near my home and I actually enjoyed the food they have.

August 15th, 2024: Had to wake up real early today despite it being a day off of work because it was a holy day of obligation in the Catholic Church (Assumption of Mary,) I did not recognize anybody there sadly and weirdly enough we didn’t really sing at the church probably because a church singer couldn’t come, the father (Same guy as on Sunday) talked about how it was the 37th anniversary of him preaching because he started off at a US airbase in Frankfurt, Germany. After the sermon I took the bus back home and hopped on Soycraft and got some more resources. At around 2pm my mom and I discussed setting up a meeting for studying abroad for next week. After dinner I finally did some of my laundry but I didn’t get to folding it, and I finally got back into watching One Piece because I finished up the Levely arc and never got back into it.

August 16th, 2024: Back to work! Work was pretty chill at the start of the day and while I was working I saw my new manager talking to this guy for a job interview and the new guy looked like one of those black guys who is really into niche animes and mangas while also being extremely good at Super Smash Bros. lunch was pretty chill and I texted my friend Asherah a happy birthday but she never responded. I got done with all my tasks before I had to continue this guy’s pull for putting stuff away in “that part of the store” I had barely managed to complete it all before having to do the closing tasks alone, I had to skimp a bit on cleaning the bathrooms until I went into the women’s bathroom and had to clean some shit on the walls and toilet plunger. On the way home I was asked by this Black homeless guy if I had any money and I only had a $20 bill in my pocket so I decided to give it to him and he hugged me for being so generous and told me that his name is Terry. At home I tried to hop on Soycraft but it was down. Enosh cooked me some cajun jambalaya for dinner but he took so long that I ended up eating by 9:30pm. I called my grandpa before dinner was done to ask him how he was doing after his pacemaker was installed and he said that he was doing great and that my dad was also with him and they were eating KFC from nearby. He mentioned that his neighbors have never invited him over to dinner ever since I stopped living with him and that he wants me to come over sometime in the fall. I also messaged Asherah a happy 20th birthday but she didn't reply.

August 17th, 2024: Back to the grind with another day at work, started off the day with some more cleaning and stocking shelves, I did have to stock “that part of the store” again but it was not that much to deal with. For lunch I packed some leftover Cajun jambalaya and put it in my bag before I realized that I had left it back at home. I had to stock two specific parts of the store and I only finished one part before I had to do closings, which were much easier than last time with another person. After work while waiting for the bus I got a Snapchat message from Asherah saying that “she slept for like a week,” and I found that ridiculous. For dinner I had Cajun jambalaya.

August 18th, 2024: Fuck my stupid pathetic alarmclockcel life! I set my alarm for 6pm in order to be at work before 8:30pm but my phone ended up being wrapped in one of my blankets so I ended up waking up at 7:15pm and had to rush to the local gas station in order to get coffee with my breakfast, I saw a Jewish guy pull up to the store just as I left or something. After that my regular bus route decided to magically have an hour gap between busses so I had to walk over to another bus route and take that bus, I ended up missing my stop so I had to walk longer, on my way I encountered Terry again and this time he was with his wife (fat White woman) and he asked me for more money so I gave him like $2 and he kept asking me for more money and I just kept walking along. At work it was the first day with the new employee and he seemed pretty chill, I had to wash the dumpsters outside and I got it pretty clean, I had more jambalaya for lunch and after work I went home and played more Soycraft and had to deal with my roommate making a mess in the kitchen because he made muffins.

August 19th, 2024: Woke up at 7:30am today, before my alarm clock went off, so better than yesterday. For work I had done some more stocking around the place and cleaning, for my first break I bought a giant expired muffin and one of those Red Sourpatch Kids energy drinks and ended up feeling real sluggish after eating the muffin and then real energetic once I drank the energy drink, it turns out that the new guy in my department ended up coming in later than I expected so I thought he just left on the second day, for lunch I bought some Penne alla Pastora for lunch and the girl that drove me home that one time asked me about it and I told her what it is, I ended up only eating half of it before I put it in the fridge for leftovers, later on when I encountered her again she asked more about the meal and I mentioned that I did not finish it, so she asked for the rest of it under the condition she would pay me back. On my second normal break she tried to get me to pay for a $0.50 item with my money which I found ridiculous, to which I told her “Have your girlfriend pay for it.” And she said that she doesn’t currently have a girlfriend, just that she used to (lol) and that I misinterpreted what she said when we talked while she drove me home. After work this Latinx girl said to come over to her place asking to take a shot, so I called her and she said that my contact saved in her phone scared me because I had the same first name as one of her friends who killed himself, I decided to head over because why not and I end up meeting up with her, her friend the Kazakhstani, and this Mexican guy that was actually a pretty chill dude, and then these two other girls show up, one who isn't that important, and Sara. Basically I was helping the Kazakhstani set up lights in her room (they had recently moved in) when she told me to get the Latinx I walked over to her room and the door was open and I am greeted with Sara yelling at me to get out because it was girl's night or something (They weren't drinking and were fully clothed,) eventually it is time for the boys to leave and I make sure to shake the hand of the Mexican and Sara's friend but not Sara and I laughed to myself watching her get embarrassed for trying to embarrass me, like two can play that game you fucking subhuman. I went home and took some expired raviolini they had in the back with me to cook for my dinner. It took really long to boil the water and once I finished it, I ended up damaging my thumb trying to cut some Asiago chunks to put on it.

August 20th, 2024: Started off the day early and without waking up less than an hour before I had to go to work, despite being one of those days where there was a bunch of people work, there was only one person who was actually scheduled to do closings, luckily that wasn’t me. At work I ended up doing a mixture of stocking and cleaning and for my tasks, and I got really lucky when my new manager said that I could get out of work early today once I finished bagging all these meatballs so I took the opportunity and left early and hopped on Soycraft.

August 21st, 2024: Pretty chill day today, At the start of the day I decided to go to this diner for breakfast and got some pancakes with eggs, bacon, and hashbrowns to go with it, I had to go to the grocery store to buy some food for me and my roommate, ended up getting some cereal, milk, and off-brand soda there (because it's cheap). At around 2:30pm, I decided to call Asherah as a joke because I was honestly expecting it to go to voicemail and I could ask her if "she's going on another week-long nap" but she actually answered and we chatted for a bit, I got to see photos of her cat, but eventually, I had to leave that call to do a meeting with my mom and an advisor about studying abroad in the spring, it took like an hour but we narrowed it down to 5 places (All in Europe by the way) that I could study at for a semester. I finally managed to complete 2 Samuel!

August 22nd, 2024: Final day where I don’t have to work, ended up gaming for most of the day on the Soycraft server. My mom did some financial analysis about studying abroad and it turns out that Germany is the cheapest option while England is the most expensive one (because of how ridiculously overpriced food is there;) However, my mom was more on board with me going to Ireland while I was kind of leaning towards studying abroad in Germany, even if it meant I had to learn German to get by. Around the middle of the day I went to Walmart because I wanted to buy some shades in order to fashionmaxx better. Later at night I cooked some raviolini for dinner and watched the Democratic National Convention and even got to see Kamala Harris’s speech.
