my belief is as follows: quantum immortality is real in some sense, at the very least if you've having free will and conscious experiences then at the least you will NOT magically cease having them forever. i cannot prove this, i just have a hunch that its impossible. i mean you wake up after going to bed right... even though you don't remember the 8 hours sleeping?
it also drives me fucking nuts thinking about how im not able to really quantify whatever the fuck physical feelings, thoughts, field of vision, freedom to run around buttnaked and scream racial slurs from a long-forgotten native american language i decide to learn for no reason if i so choose, etc... i just can't fit it into the context of what is known about physics and chemistry currently. its hard to explain even to me.
but anyway, im tied between whether the afterlife is just lucid dreaming for infinite years, that is, incoherent in its own way and simply determined by what you were thinking of in the days before death (wait, earth is all a heccin' DREAM???), or if the soul trap reincarnation theory is right, you get reincarnated into another flesh golem because a greater spiritual entity has another (malicious or otherwise) motive for it or because you have some reason to do it that you'll only remember upon dying
no scripture has ever gotten it right, because its not possible to get anywhere near the real truth without it being tainted by one's culture or moral beliefs. even im full-hog aware im fucking wrong. look into near-death experiences, interesting stuff and i think whatever goes on in those might be the closest you can get to knowing what comes after.
