Discussion gpu upgrade(?)

what about amds open sourced gpu drivers?
I believe you're talking about the Linux AMDgpu. I haven't tried it myself as I don't use Linux or AMD GPUs or CPUs, but colleagues who do have reported back positively about it. Again, these measures are more for tech-savvy people and not for the normal 'I just want to hop on and play' type of people. But if you are the demographic, the open-source drivers sound delightful, and I wish I'll try it one day.

Do newer cases even have enough space for these? I remember the golden age of the late 2000s PC cases that had enough empty slots to place whatever you desired. But newer cases either have one slot if you're lucky, or none at all for that "minimalistic" clean look. I do not know how does your case looks or you're getting a one that has those spaces.
I think the case i have is an old thermaltake case my dad use to have.

the disc drives are IDE tho, the cpu temp reader doesn't work and theres a thing missing from it. A lot of fans tho

Wow, a 4060 in this? That's a pretty amazing sleeper build. I love the old rugged look of old computer cases, as long as it's not overheating because of it. It's great forever.

Most modern cases don't have 5,25 inch bays for ODDs and other stuff sadly
There are some exceptions out there tho, like for example the Fractal Design Pop Air

not all linux distros require you to be tech savvy there is Linux mint which is like windows and using the terminal to install software is optional there

its not actually windows 7, its just a mod of windows 10
although if I could game properly on 7 I would use that
Oh okay
Anyways, to another topic...

Oh boy that sure is an ancient case
Also how are your ODDs IDE? Do newer motherboards even support IDE???

I'm not sure I can say yes or no to this as I have very minimal experience with Linux, but if there's something that can simplify it, that would be a great thing, and more people should use it instead of Windows

Linux is not a singular os but multiple oses called linux distros using the same kernel which is linux if i am correct this is the most basic definition

if your using a android phone your likely using a linux distro since android is a linux distro technically as it uses the linux kernel
