I really liked playing Mario Kart DS on an emulator, it was pure kino (maybe because it's also the only Mario Kart game I've ever bothered to play geg)

i used to play on the wii and it was actual bullshit on there that controller was fucked up

I used to be pretty damn good at MK Wii but I'm out of practice, also my TV has a boot looping issue so I can't really play any console games.

I always played with nunchuk, it gets 3 frames to do otherwise frame perfect tricks like low tricks and chain wheelies but still uses a stick for movement. The pros use it in their TTs.
