Hoi4 Mod

shx can continue hxr Rudolph too thovgh. i always wanted to make a hoi4 Rudolph (started a while ago but stopped). but now i have a lot of time in my hands (i study law so i dont go to school much since i can just read the books) so i am able to develop faster since i can spend 4-5 hours every day depending on the day.

also since this Rudolph is very tiny (maximum 5 focus trees) its easier to make. i finished the advisors (will add some more military ones tomorrow) and the only thing left for soy is
1- add random leaders so we dont have hoi4 portraits clogging the general screen
2- redo the states so soy doesnt start with 300 factories + 500 rubber

i think i can do these two tomorrow. and then i will start fixing pol etc. south pole parts are even easier since i will not add any advisors to them and just balance their pop and factory count. if the Rudolph goes like this i think in the next 2-3 months we can have a playable demo

Before and after images of the great war (i need a better name for the war). i made scripted peace deals so no matter what happens in the war, as long as you push you get these borders

i finished the whole war thing. also now QA will be a puppet of soy after the war. here is the new map. the creation of sharty will start after the war with lgbt ends. ill do some localisations etc. and probably start drafting the next part of focus three tomorrow.

I'll playtest and write text for events but I think we can be more creative than just using a real world map. I can come up with a concept of what the map could look like but it might take me a bit.

this would be awesome since focuses feel very empty when there is no event after completion and also there are focus descriptions as well etc.

i picked antarctica cuz it looked good + i thought it would be better to just set up the map asap and focus on the focus trees since thxy are the main appeal of ze mod. i also think it looks aesthetic and reminds me of hyperborea

ill upload it to workshop as beta when i finish soy then. currently i finished the QA-LGBT war and tomorrow i will start doing the soot era focuses. i will make soot focuses basically focused on fixing and developing the country (industry etc.) while also after the focuses are done for soot i will add the kolyma site thing you were talking about as a decision minigame or balance of power

I kneel. Good work so far. I'm too undetermined now to keep that other mod going and I think letting you do the work is better when it comes to the coding. If you want I'll send you the assets from my mod.

White space represents an ocean.
looks good but hoi4 connects the map from side to side so the map needs to be like an island or it will look bad. also i think 4cuck needs to be bigger since irl sharty is smaller than 4cuck posterwise. i can add kolymaniggas to the empty side of the map we already have as well.

It is not meant to be realistic. We are trying to make a narrative and clearly defined protagonists and enemies which can get fleshed out more in future updates if this catches on. 4cuck is small because the implication is that it is much larger offscreen. Alaska and Canada in base HOI4 are good examples of large landmasses which aren't fully mapped.

I appreciate that you are putting out something for people and myself to play. At some point we will need to transfer over to a custom map however.

oh then i was in the wrong since i was trying to balance it to some realistic stuff like 4cuck being bigger etc. changing the map is not hard at all. For the map you did i can just disable naval invasions since i dont think anyone will do it anyways and make the map you sent the main map.
also now that i think about it you are right. dedicating 90% of the map to chan while not giving them content is not a good decision

How big should i make this then? the current map is as big as europe so i think europe size is good since bigger maps get boring.
with the map i can add land borders like this and then make hoi4 create graphics like the banners on sharty etc. i think it could be gemmy
