In overview of this entire thread, it's my opinion that the world doesn't NEED a dominant power. The whole USA/PRC beef is completely contrived, Taiwan and the Philippines are of basically zero concern to the US. I think Russia, China and the US can all be at peace because their spheres of influence don't really overlap or conflict. I think the US should pull all troops and weapons from Taiwan, Japan and the Philippines and station them in Australia because that's the only country in the south Pacific that I care about .

Retarded analysis. Taiwan functions as the worlds largest unsinkable aircraft carrier that is permanently stationed outside of china. It's extremely important in the event of a war since it allows the us to lock down the east and south china seas and prevent all sea trade with china. Taiwan is also a major producer of microchips and semiconductors which are needed for all high end technology. The philippines is extremely important for securing trade routes between the americas and south east asia due to its geographical position.
I agree that the world doesn't NEED a dominant power, but it will always have one since countries need to secure their interests.

Your ignoring the premise of my comment, that any war in southeast Asia would be for contrived and dubious reasons. War is NOT inevitable, in fact it's quite preventable. You've been watching too much task and purpose and Ryan Macbeth.

A war in south east asia would be contrived, but it's necessary for a world power to secure their interests there. Both america and china needs to maintain some degree of control over the region to ensure that they can trade with their allies during an international crisis such as a war or in order to prevent a blockade. I've never heard of either task and purpose or ryan mcbeth.
Not for long... Kek!
Taiwan is and always will be an american ally, cope and sneed.

China? yes, it's their backyard. US? No, we can be self sufficient and should have no business in the south Pacific (except for Australia). Just like China has no business in south or central America, it's a two way street.

America gets semiconductors and microchips from taiwan. America also regularly performs military exercises with southeast asian countries which is important in the event of a war. American trade with the region is also worth about 500 billion dollars per year. America gets cheap natural resources from there and while they could use their own, it would result in significantly higher prices for end consumers than buying it from abroad does.
China is very involved with south america, particularly brazil. They buy tons of agricultural products and oil from them.
>your greatest ally doesnt recognize you
taipeicuckolds...
Taiwan is extremely cucked, but their bvll is and will forever remain america, not china.
I've got no beef with Taiwan but the fact is America needs to produce it's own electronics, global trade was a mistake.
America isn't able to produce components like microchips and semiconductors that are as good or cheap as taiwans. Producing all technology at home would result in everything being significantly worse and more expensive.

It's true that cellphones and missiles would cost more if all components were made in house, but I believe it's worth it. That's why so many people support tariffs despite them making everything more expensive, it keeps their dollars from going overseas and it also isolates our economy in case of a global crash. I do think the Chinese should be iced out of South America, just like the US should clear out of southeast Asia. I just can't see a worthwhile reason for a catastrophic war with the PRC.

I think the former is obviously far more likely to become le heckin superpower, but jeets won't stop breeding and they already have a ton of influence in the western world. Personally I don't think the US is headed on the right path, and considering that Trvmp is going to mass-import poojeets I'm starting to feel like maybe China isn't so bad. Of course chinks would probably execute my cracker ass on sight, though that's honestly preferable vs. watching my country get raped again and again and again.
I hate jeets and kikes, So china

Having it as a distant goal is completely fair, but just making the jump now is an awful idea. High end microchips and semiconductors are used in a lot more than cell phones and missiles. It's also used in hospital equipment, factory equipment, cars, farming equipment etc. Everything will skyrocket in price, not just luxury products and weapons. You could say that china should be kicked out of south america, but how will you actually do that? They're not leaving unless they're forced to and in order to counter that america needs a presence in southeast asia. If you leave that china can focus everything on influencing south america.

They could be forced to. Increased American presence in south America would do better to drive them out than American presence in southeast Asia, if anything American troops being on their doorstep in South Korea only motivates them to expand their influence in Canada and South America, which is rightfully the American sphere of influence. Just as the Koreas/Philippines/Taiwan is china's spere of influence. Isolation and nuclear deterrence is the best way to stave off war, not constant sabre rattling which is currently happening.

What do you mean by increased presence? If you mean increased trade and investment, that's not going to make china leave, although it will force them to focus more on important countries like brazil and argentina, and less on unimportant ones. If you mean overthrowing the states then that would certainly force china to leave, but it would also lead to increased cooperation on intelligence with china among other states and widespread anti american sentiment among the continents population.

Yeah guys, the US obviously needs greenland, an absolutely useless plot of pasture, and not the semiconductor manufacturing powerhouse.
Lets start manifesting destiny by conquering barren tundras! Who cares whats there? As long as we have enough ICE for all our 6 gorillion mcdonalds fridges surely we can become self-sufficient, maybe we won't even need oil.
Soon enough we'll have more ICE than any other superpower, take that Xi!
