also, i can say that houses in america and "first world" shitholes are fucken' overpriced but if you look other places you can find houses with no internet for less than $5,000 (absolute steal compared to even just renting in my area)
picrel costs a measly $2,000 and has NO internet... and also no electricity, no indoor toilet, no running water so you have to go get it from the well or river, grocery store is a good mile away, no job prospects, have to know the local language, have to travel there in the first place, probably some legal bullshit in getting the house too... but hey, NO TECH!!!!!
