Which is why a public banlist works for the party but not the blog.

We've been discussing meursaults and jimbos bans in like 5 threads now. The only thing that happened when we removed the ban megathread is that the discussion gets spread throughout the rest of the website.

This is the same thing that happened when the megathread was up.

We're going to do this every time anyone gets banned in the future as well.

That's not an oversight on my end. This weekend there will be a pretty big change that will render ban discussions pointless sitewide and remove a lot of janny responsibility + power. The utopia of nearly free speech is close at hand, and we've been working on it for awhile now so I'll be interested to see how it turns out.
