Lucid Dreaming

I had a dream where my fan was my computer monitor and i didnt notice anything wrong im never lucid dreaming bruh

I feel like I have lucid dreams pretty frequently. Tbh most of my dreams are very vivid and i remember most parts, if they are very interesting ones i can remember even smaller details. Sometimes i am aware im dreaming but i cant really change things - or more like i dont really choose to. And when im convinced its not a dream for some reason things go as i want, and i have some sort of free will and do things i would do irl in that scenario idk if that makes sense. I never really have dreams that are like wow superpower flying shit, its mostly everyday scenarios or scary stuff
Idk how to actually control the dream when im aware of it doe

aren't you a pooner?

Once, I was telling my friends in a dream that i was in fact dreaming, but they wouldn't believe me, and told me to 'prove it'
So I looked down at my hands to prove myself, which were shriveled up and made of wood, so then I looked at them and said
"Yup, i got SpongeBob fingers"

Does anyone have any good tips on how to start lucid dreaming? This shit is nearly impossible
Melatonin makes your dreams more vivid. People suggest weird shit like eating bananas before bed? I'd imagine it only works as a placebo. One good strategy I'd found is staying up till around 1-2 and start thinking of creepy stuff, if lucky you'll be able to slip into sleep paralysis. From sleep paralysis you'll want to not move or panic and then try to imagine yourself floating. If you do this correctly, it will take you to a lucid dream

I already take melatonin before bed though, but it's half the recommended dosage, and I really don't want to stay up till 2.
I have an alarm set to 2:20 AM and I've had good results with that.
