There is the problem of limited software support and having desktop environments, like XFCE, to correctly utilize OpenBSD's utilities like sndio for sound and apmd for power management. It will take time for it to catch up, there aren't many contributors and some of them don't place importance in developing it for desktop use.How long until it finally catches up with Linux?
fork SuSe and make a team of conservative people to work on this fork of suse i think there is a part of the linux community that is conserative and that uses suse and make suse great againI'm not a fan of any system anymore. Just destroy all computers ever. It was all a mistake, it's not worth pushing the boulder up the mountain anymore.
Separately, can someone make SuSE actually based again? I hate how dead it is today, how they ban everyone for being based, and the fact that the half-full board of directors are all leftycucks. I miss Novell and Netware and just want to see SuSE rise again as the based distro.
imagine swinny suse or some shit lolfork SuSe and make a team of conservative people i think there is a part of the linux community that is conserative and that uses suse
would they know how to code and maintain this suse fork?imagine swinny suse or some shit lol
I guess so idkwould they know how to code and maintain this suse fork?
I will continue using windows even if that means i need to start using fan-made patches and updatesI just use niggerdows 10 with as much of the bloat removed as I can, it plays games so I'm happy.
I ran Windows 7 from 2009/2010 to January 2024 and will run Windows 10 for as long or hopefully longer, after that time passes LINUX MINT
Bsd is gay because you can set linux so that there is no systemd or pulseaudio and replace it with pipewire and some systemd alternative. Linux has more packages. After the recent kernel rust debacle it became clear that linux is sinking ship. Rust is cancer NSA backdoor in linux it doubles compile time and forces bloated dependecies like lvm and pull 400+ micro dependecies with cargo that break sometimes to even build it. On top of that there 0 actual rust drivers if some get merged it in a few years compiles times will 10X for sure. This is why I will switch to BSD unlike linux its not owned by big corporations doesn't have systemd, udev, pulse audio...
At that point just install FreeDOSshitnux lost.
BSDcucks lost.
NTranny kernel windows lost.
MS-DOS based windows won.

I'm itching to distrohop again, redpill me on BSD, I want to try something new regardless of the attached licenses.OpenBSD is getting closer to being a viable desktop operating system, 7.6 has VA-API (video hardware acceleration) support now.
BSDs are a whole operating system and are not necessarily distributions, they are independent from each other, FreeBSD is its own thing, much like OpenBSD. This means that the userland utilities (such as GNU), the kernel, the init system, is all developed together, this makes it easier to program to and to document. You aren't going to deal with complexity like Linux where managing audio is a mess.I'm itching to distrohop again, redpill me on BSD, I want to try something new regardless of the attached licenses.

Also, there is LibreWolf in ports, if you don't want to use regular Firefox. This is running toasty but it's interesting regardless. Definitely worth the minimal effort, might tinker about and get my CPU running optimally as to mitigate the battery drain. The built-in services are sweet, especially the backlight service as I had to get it separately on Arch. (Only running GNOME because I'm a lazy little nigger who doesn't want to tinker with XFCE EDIT: I forgot how crap GNOME was, back on XFCE geg.)
