When I was 10 years old I read the "Choose Your Own Adventure" series of books. There was one about black holes. The plot had a team of space cadets explore a black hole. If you did something wrong you would get spaghettified. This means that your body would be stretched out because of the black hole's gravitational pull. When I was 10, I found this terrifying. I would have nightmares wetting my bed because of fear! It sounded very unpleasant.
The way I tried to heal from this was to imagine others being spaghettified. I felt bad about those who were nice being spaghettified. But then I realized if humanity achieved immortality... we might all be spaghettified! It would be a divine test. Those who were good would be spaghettified and enjoy it. Those who were bad would be spaghettified and not enjoy it. It would be the ultimate test. Soon I found myself judging people's universal morality by how much they would enjoy being spaghettified.
Fortunately, this can change. I am still terrified of being spaghettified because I am a bad person. But I can be good. And once I am good enough I will enjoy the great spaghettification as the immortal colony on Earth is swallowed by a black hole. Thank you kind men, women, girls, and boys for listening.
