Discussion If you had to date someone with a severe and untreated personality disorder, which one would you pick and why?

Go to Types for a quick list of them. By "severe and untreated" I mean that it will affect them profoundly and they will show it in your relationship. Also don't try to cheat the question by saying "I'd just break up with them and find someone else"

For me if I had to pick one I'd go with histrionic because they tend to be very vivacious and drag me into stuff which might be grating but is a change of pace from my boring life. I can make a full analysis of the rest of them if asked but I don't wanna make a long SNCA failthread

Avoidant although I'm hesitant to say that, it seems like the most tolerable one and I'd find someone with that relatable/I could empathize with them. Plus they wouldn't ruin my life like most of the others.

That makes sense, I thought about that one too but I realized I can be pretty brutish and might unintentionally hurt them a lot

Yeah I guess that's a risk but I can't really conceive of the question realistically due to the "being married to my male self" thing, I guess I wouldn't mind too much if they were intimate with others

It's the most aids one ever, you'd have to have like the worst kind of childhood trauma to get it (like super extreme shit). I don't think it counts as a personality disorder now anyways.

If I were to ever be in a romantic relationship, I can only imagine myself being in a relationship with someone who has a schizoid personality type. Of course, such a person would never want to be in a romantic relationship to begin with (and neither would I).

Sometimes the milder ones do, but a severe and untreated one might be paradoxical
