• Happy pride month, xisters of the schlog!

If fpe the new zellig?

Yes.
Also zellig is just waifufaggotry (which is cringe for everyone else but the waifufags) and fpe is less waifufaggoty more autism sovl. IK ms circle but I find those people more funny and entertaining than any zelligfag because the characters look wierd and its funny people would be attracted to them. Kinda like how it is more entertaining if someone wants to marry barney than it is if someone wants to marry an anime girl

zellig and fpe have similarities: they're both animations that consist of 1 episode, one of them is a clone of watamote and the other is a clone of baldi's basics.
i would say they're similar but not really. you can like either for legitimate reasons, but every fandom will have it's gooners, so you can't really complain on that regard.
fpe is more of an unfinished series and a nothingburger of a product that allows for creative freedom, whereas zellig tried to be a show and failed because massa said no.

i can guarantee you that if kaaatie makes an fpe series it's going to suck ass and probably be extremely gay or something
the creators are more focused on the "violence but haha its cute and funny or something" aspect and not the dire consequences it actually sets. shipping alice with oliver is just fucking weird in my opinion, there's no need to do that and yet kaaatie did, theres also no reason to make the male characters female-looking and yet kaaatie did.

fpe fundamentally is just an animation by kaaatie which uses characters from her other animations but in a different artstyle, it's not a real thing, really. the other characters come from other animations she made and she didn't put much thought or effort into the story either, because there basically isn't one, the characters might even come back to life after death because her animations don't contain lore, it's similar or akin to someone playing with dolls or puppets.

still, it has potential for something great to come out of it, and that's where i think people like me come in. when you see potential in something, often more than not, it can be good to capitalize on it rather than to let the flame die out. i don't see a cutsey /qa/ universe where killing is fun and miss circle is cute haha wholesome chungus. i see a universe of tortured school children attempting to escape from a system that oppresses them, a system where every door is locked up tight and they stay inside until they're graded, and if they don't get good grades, then they die. new students come in, old bodies go out, it's a societal slaughterhouse of extremely bad circumstances, and yet, no situation is beyond overcoming, a hero can still emerge. the greatest candidate for which I believe to be Engel.

to me that is what FPE represents, it is a story about struggle, oppression, overcoming evil and surviving extremely grim circumstances, whereas to others, fpe is just a silly animation with gore and "cute women :3 owo".

for me, fpe has the same creative potential as FNF, another series which i like, disregarding widespread hatred amongst the soysphere, particularly for silly billy and garn47.
to make something as insane as this honestly takes so much effort and dedication that you'd be dumb to just set it aside and call it slop, the amount of passion and art and singing and production that goes into making something like this is so insane that to call creative freedom and expression over silly little things like fpe and fnf slop or garbage just because you don't like it is kind of stupid. if anything, it makes my development more fruitful, that despite what everyone else says, you can't stop me either way. you can't stop people from putting an extraordinarily high amount of effort into creating something that i would consider to be a gem

ofcourse that point is kind of null and void though considering that the soysphere is primarily a place of low effort content, art tracing, etc. the occassional gem does make the rounds every now and then and i can understand that people might get angry that good artists are not contributing to their cause or their site but there's no real incentive to do so tbh, it's just edgy humor and racism and aggressive or nasty charactures represented by drawings of angry men, you can't make a story of it either.

soyjaks and soyjak culture is a lot similar to fpe when you look at it that way, they're both just dolls and puppets that people play with on the internet, it's up to random guys like me to try and make art out of it or make sense of it all. if cool soyjaks existed, like heroic soyjaks, soyjaks that weren't racist or overly offensive but stood for great things like freedom and fighting for hope and peace, i'd be more interested. but theres the issue, those are NOT soyjaks. maybe i could make something out of the aggressive behaviour of soyjaks, and make a soyjak fighting game where you kill soyjaks, but for that you'd need a hero or something. like maybe just a random soyteen fighting against neutralpliers and chuds with greentext swords perhaps

>inb4 soygoy makes a game about him battling soyjaks telling him to stop making "NAS coal" which ironically is an IAS game.

i think that soyjaks deserve to exist in the format that they do, they're made to mock soyboys, but it's hard for me to really care for them other than to parody others or make jokes of them. in media, i'm typically more drawn to young adult men who like to overcome stressful situations, think metal gear risings Raiden or several various JoJo's Bizarre Adventure characters. that's just how I am, personally. There's something more thrilling and enthrawling about someone like me being placed into a dangerous situation and coming out victorious, like James Sunderland from Silent Hill 2, or Leon Kennedy from Resident Evil 2, etc. That's probably what makes horror so good, not knowing that death is certain but knowing there is a slight chance of survival.

The 'zelling obsession was always waifufaggotry, we FPE fans actually CARE about what we like

There has to be some popular creator out there who cares about FPE as much as you do
I remember Edgyaludon, on the surface they were just another fujoshi who's also an FPE fan but she really did seem to care a lot about her OC's, iirc Edgy even drew a comic series for one named "Mister Barrel" titled "Hansel and Gretel"and that a lot of her OC's are given a lot of great backstory to them. Unfortunately she has cardiac arrest.
So far it's her and you with Fundamental Punishment, the rest are just shipping characters and doing silly fanart.
