March 8th, 2025: Officially the 1 year anniversary of this blog, I got up early and worked on by blogposts before heading out to work. The bus ride there was normal but I got in and waited a while for my shift to start. For work I had to stock some places and clean other spots, my other coworker for closing was not there so I had to do that then. I tried to go into the office near the start of the day but it was locked for some unknown reason. My first break was pretty chill and after that I had to do a good amount of sweeping outside. When I was sweeping the back, Biker and his wife were sitting outside watching me before I moved to the front. Sweeping the front was much worse because there was still some ice that had not melted yet. Also there were a bunch of people wearing green for this bar crawl event. Jesse remarked to me:
“Sucks that we’re stuck inside for this event!”
I was just kind of angry seeing all the people and their friends outside. For my lunch break I had to wait a long ass time for the cashier but when I got ready to order, me and fAsherah kept pointing at each other for most of the time while Sabrina saw the ordeal and just kept laughing, fAsherah told me:
“Guess who I just saw yesterday?”
I replied:
“Your girlfriend/fiancée/wife?”
“No, our former coworker!”
She then pulls out a picture of her and the coworker (the same one who drove me home once) . I eat my lunch upstairs and then continue with my work. During lunch I get on snapchat and see a bunch of snapchat stories from James (the greater) about his trip to the Anime event today with all of his friends and it made me so jealous. After lunch I had to label a bunch of fresh pasta that recently got it, I was given this sticker gun and at one point had to go upstairs with it, I open the kitchen door and hit this guy who was talking with a bunch of other kitchen people Tony said:
“Be careful next time Gemerson!”
In a sarcastic tone, I was nearly ready to throw the sticker gun at him because of how pissed off I was. Eventually at one point the sticker gun ran out of stickers and I didn’t know where Jesse was so I had to ask this girl in back who didn’t speak English where Jesse was and hoped she could understand what I said, she didn’t. Luckily a guy from the kitchen who spoke both English and Spanish was nearby (not Will or his brother Bill) and he translated for me. She said she saw him upstairs last but he wasn’t there when I checked. At closing time I had to scrub the back room floor and I was really angry at this point. I went to empty the trash cans one time and I ended up seeing Old Ozzy Osborne. I remember being set off multiple times, one time smashing the squeegee into a wall and another time the scrub brush because a metal object fell into the ground. I texted Enosh to pick up a gallon of milk and he did. When I finally clocked out, I noticed that the street along which my bus goes was blocked off so I ran to this other bus stop on the same line and ended up waiting a long time for it. This old guy started talking to me about the whole bus ordeal, he said that he used to live in an apartment behind the CVS and now lives more towards the north. After a while of talking back and forth I said goodbye and went towards the other bus route, catching that bus instead and then walking home. When I get back I noticed a gallon of 1% milk so I started asking Enosh some questions:
“Hey Enosh, where did you get the milk?”
“At 7/11!”
“And how much did it cost?”
“$4.99”
“Enosh, when I tell you to get a gallon of milk, get it from the grocery store because it’s not so fucking expensive.”
“I just didn’t feel like going to the grocery store because I was exhausted after my work day!”
(Keep in mind he works 6 hour days.)
I then saw that my aunt (Programmer Uncle’s wife) posted a picture of their cat Dewey and I was so happy.
It was also my second cousin’s 30th birthday, she used to live with my family back in 2019. And it is Lizzo’s 21st birthday tomorrow so I will call her during my lunch break.
