If you get devuan or minimal ubuntu the process is a lot easier. I use i3wm for it's enhanced work flow, there is no alt-tabbing, just alt + numbering, you can easily switch to an empty workspace or create one and have like a multi montior setup on just one desktop.I need to get back onto Linux man, I miss the little QoL features that Windows doesn't have.
