words words words if you watch ruben sim you probably already know the deal but god some of the avatars i've personally seen are absolutely attrocious
regardless of all that though, like i said, roblox used to just be a lego building game and honestly that was all i really wanted roblox to be, it shouldn't be anything more or less, it's a game where you build shit. and i love building shit, but i hate real legos. i know you can build shit in minecraft, but it's not lego and it doesn't have the intricacies that an online game like roblox would.
building a lego death obstacle course and playing it with your friends is part of what made roblox fun, just playing around with its limitations and seeing what you could create.
and you're supposed to be building stuff for fun, because you want to do so, but nowadays it is not like that.
You're wrong.
Roblox today is not for unleashing creativity, it is solely for the purpose of money. Creators use AI thumbnails for their games and churn out simulators and garbage games with like 100 gamepasses to farm robux for the dev exchange. for many, roblox is no longer a game, it's a business. The same thing happened to Minecraft, really, servers used to exist for fun, but people started to get way too greedy, monetizing their servers to the point of adding p2w features that ruined the experience of playing the game.
When money gets involved, the fun ceases, and you end up with a platform that looks like this:

AI thumbnails, shameless copies and clones, weird kids baiting games and rohoe thumbnails.
Let me take you to the wayback machine just so you can see what was actually popular back with the kids when roblox was in it's golden ages:

While games are somewhat mostly similar in theme, eg "Survive the X" they were a lot more primitive and their thumbnails were a lot more descriptive, because they were ingame screenshots. When you clicked on a game, you knew exactly what you were getting into. Whereas today, the games quality is not shown to you explicitly, instead it's some dodgy AI thumbnail. Heres another screenshot, this time from 2014:

Much of the same deal, games being descriptive, showing you what's in them, and in my opinion, being of much higher quality. The games back then were actual games, nowadays roblox games are just slop designed to sell shit for money. Case in point:

Out of all of these thumbnails, you should notice they're designed to catch your attention and not be descriptive about the contents of the game, they appeal way too much to the kids and often include goofy gimmicks like "obby but you're an x" Still though, games like "obby but you're an x" are a lot better than most of the games on that list for it's simplistic thumbnail and easy to understand premise and it's not like Roblox was never flawed because lets be honest, people did copy eachother back then too, but honestly, just comparing the two from current day screenshots to random screenshots of old games on non specific wayback machine dates, it's clear to me that the games back then were of much higher quality, whereas games today are designed very much like youtube kids videos.
