I'm in favor of the death penalty, I think it should be used more often as keeping them in prison would waste more resources. It often serves a deterrence for keeping would-be killers in line. Extending it to pedophilia and other adjacent crimes would also help, I don't think releasing those people and just placing them on the registry is a form of moral good.

It should be abolished, not because of moralfag reasons about how child rapists have a right to live but rather to avoid executing innocent people as proof could come out later of them being innocent

For the sake of discussion I didn't state my opinion but I am in favor of it because the criminal justice system favors the innocent, I trust most murder convictions so no reason not to. Save prison space.

I think the death penalty is a good thing, and I like that it can take so long to carry out, so the prisoner has to live in fear.

The courts are not 100% correct, however it's good enough to keep the death penalty.

In this case, it took 24 years of lawyers staying the execution, and I think the information from those hearings should be public, so that people can start shit-stirring if they disagree with the sentence. Or something.
