im going to bed at 6 PM tonight just when the first polls close, woke up at 5 so i should be kinda tired
this is going to be a shitshow. my mom said it's all in God's hands now. the earliest election i remember well was 2016 and while that one was crazy too it didn't feel as "sinister" i guess

2016 was when I got into politics. It was inescapable to the point where even hyper isolated kids like me were hearing about it daily. I remember watching the election in the evening and seeing the CNN newscasters face drop lower and lower as trump gained more electoral votes.

it really was magical even if trump didnt end up being so good
my favorite quote was that one guy from cnn: "this is a WHITELASH against a changing america" (paraphrase)
i dont think trump will win tonight but if he did the levels of seethe would be unprecedented

There are benefits to both sides winning
trvmp wins: libs seethe and total ukraine death (and trump is funny)
kamala wins: 4cuck seethe and elon musk probably kills himself

What’s funny is that Trump and Kamala supporters seem to live in completely different worlds, where each side thinks they’re about to win a landslide. Unironically I see videos from Kamalafags on YouTube that predict she’s going to take Florida, Texas, and even Kansas, meanwhile I’ve seen predictions from trump supporters saying that’s he’s going to take California. I feel like whoever wins there is gonna be a lot of political violence in the next few months.

i kinda had an epiphany even doe it's probably just common sense to most people and im retarded.

it doesn't matter if trump wins tonight, and he probably won't win this election. if he somehow does, it won't matter. he lost the 2024 election in 2020 because no matter what he does it's going to be too little/too late. there's going to be a lot of opposition if he wins, you'll see 2020 qanon tier conspiracy theories but the difference is that people in the actual government will believe in them. they will do EVERYTHING to keep him out of the oval office, and i wouldn't be surprised if they did manage to somehow do it between now and january.
let's say he does win and he does become the president again. i'm going to sound like a broken record, but it WON'T MATTER. he didn't do shit during his first term, and there is no way in hell he's going to do much with today's political climate in mind + the fact that he's very clearly starting to become senile (like 2020 biden tier, not a vegetable yet but getting there). four years simply isn't enough.
and what happens if he does something major? guess what, that won't matter either because it'll just get reversed/repealed like how Biden did with a lot of trump's 2016-era policies. and with the demographic shift in the US, i don't have high hopes for another relatively conservative person winning an election for a long time. a 2024-2028 trump presidency would merely be delaying the inevitable. the president does not have the power to fix a problem like that, and certainly not within the span of four fucking years.
i'm not saying you should be all down and depressed if kamala wins; she probably isn't going to turn life upside down, even biden couldn't completely fuck things up.

please feel free to argue against this, maybe there isn't something i'm seeing. i'm pretty retarded anyway.

The competent transition team working under Trump will pick good government employees who will pass better rules, such as against many of our harmful food preservatives, so it will matter, Trump will bring efficiency to the government
