Why do you all like videogames so much?

I don't think there is a video game as complex as chess, lil bro.
No, like with videogames it's very complex, it's real time, there is a story, there is timing (ignore the existance of Hyperbullet Chess for a second here), chess is moving pieces on an 8x8 board, safeguarding your king while attacking the other player's king, and following some 30-50 simple principles

Video games are far less complex than chess. It's rock, paper, scissors with execution, meaning sometimes paper beats scissors. Even the most popular ones like CS will never even approach the literature that chess has, theorizing the best moves given x etc.

Chess is a much simpler game
Memorizing opening theory is not that hard
You can even skip some theory by just not playing an opening, I don't have to memorize the Ruy Lopez because I always the Petrov defence against 2. Nf3, I don't have to memorize the Scotch because, again, I always play the Petrov agaisnt 2. Nf3
