Yeah its exclusively pushed on twink body types which basically means weak skinny teenage boy. The main mascot for the femboy is astfolo, a twink, and most femboys try to parrot that kind of archetype. You will also see the idea of becoming a femboy as some kind of incel pipeline, where if you have these weak features like shortness and daintyness, that you are fucked in terms of masculinity and should lean into being a ladyboy if you want to be sexually "successful".
Its all very obviously groomy and predatory in nature and targeting teenagers, which is why I despise it even more than trannies. I understand why it isn't talked about as much, because trannies are ugly as the rule and often troon out because they are ugly, as opposed to femboys who are just twinky men in a dress, which isn't really funny at all, just sad, but femboy shit is more fucked up than troonshit IMO

Gender dysphoria is also a real problem, even if it's not visible. The difference between that and schizophrenia is that transitioning is a verifiable way of treating it.

But neither conditions go away on their own and they're both mental illnesses, the only reason there isn't a drug that exists that can verifiably cure or at the very least bury feelings of "dysphoria" is because big pharma makes more bank on people transitioning and butchering their bodies along with the costs of hormones, rather than just taking one miracle drug that bypasses all those other hurdles and costs.

I'd go as far as saying that this is the same reasoning there's no cure for baldness, they make more money on hair transplants, tattooing scalps and hormones than one miracle pill that takes care of all of that for a much cheaper price.

By making someone's desired gender (and with "desired" I mean less a conscious want and more a bodily need) align with their apparent gender. Of course you can't change chromosomes, but 99% of trannies don't care about that, not because they're delusional but because their unconscious mind is satisfied with at least looking female (because the unconscious body doesn't know what chromosomes are, it just looks at appearances).
This is why transitioning works.

It's not an end all be all solution, solving the defect would be through bypassing the hurdles of transitioning altogether, even if that is an impossible outcome to due brain structures or whatever.
