They only cut it because they were cowardly and never wanted to make another ??? type move, curse is cool and all but they could've explored the concept of a move that changes based off types a lot more. They kinda revisited that with stellar type but its completely different. Hidden Power should've been ??? type.

hm mmmmm today i will decide that the first gym leader for my planned fangame definitely needs a nidorino, aron, ivysaur, skrelp, growlithe, and gabite for the hard mode team because he just does, okay? (and because of lore reasons)

the normal mode team is just tyrunt/aron/vibrava/goomy/frigibax/gabite thoughever, with only 1 mon there specifically to troll fairyfags instead of 5

The Johto games are the second best IMO, there's just too much to do and the environment is unmatched by any future game. It has some pretty big balancing issues but other than that I kinda love Gen 2. Gen 4 is the 3rd worst gen however, it doesn't have a damn pokedex (and the new pokemon it adds are either derivative, shit, or derivative shit) and to traverse the region you need so many hm slaves.

Its good for one playthrough but replaying gen 7 is a chore with all the damn dialog, I cant be assed to do it. Doesn't help there are 18 gym battles in Alola.

Keyed. The fact gen 4 games are so sluggish makes them a pain get through. They aren't nearly as replayable as the other games.
