Well, that's simple...
back in July last year, this one individual (on the 'cord) sent me this one virus once that stole ALL of my passwords, it pretended to be a "visual novel" starring me, but when I downloaded it and clicked on the .exe file bundled with the .zip, it apparently sent scripts to my computer that stole all of my fucking passwords and people that got those passwords got into my 'cord account (the one I was using at the time), attempted to get into my YouTube account and later on, got into my columbine forums account, then the people pretended to be the "ghost" of Sam Houston (of all people, I know that he took part in a historic revolution but shut up) and this one guy on the 'cord called "Wry" (who is known to be a love it or hate it person/lolcow according to the people that know him), it got so SO bad, that eventually, the 'cord account i was using at the time was terminated thanks to the guys forcing me to say that i was under the age of 13 (which violates the 'cord's ToS, mind you), so then I made another account, which was also hacked, and made ANOTHER- alright i dont want to explain this further, it was a pretty bad time for me during this, it was just like a YoYo

luckily someone on the 'cord I know named Connor (aka Heckknok) has since told me the truth and the people invloved, including himself
but I still respect Connor, we're still friends on the 'cord actually lol

if you google “free (thing)” on mainstream internet browsers the first results will just be surveys and not viruses. however if you keep scrolling they will 100% be viruses instead.
