I have a “fun” idea. We should play the rise of nations mod (mod that lets you play from like 1910 to 2000) until we reach the modern day. Someone should keep the save file and we should play it until we reach the end of the content.

I checked in game and there's impassable terrain to the left and north of New Vegas. I can just build a couple of bunkers and outposts and I'll have a defensive line to hold both you and the Legion indefinitely. I'll just have to watch out for paratroopers like Doll said
