or at least christian minarchism?
This logic can also be applied to states, power corrupts all.I don't believe so, but I'm not sure how you'd really interpret such a clash of thought, so I'm unsure of if it'd be "possible". I will, still, quote some words of Solomon that came to mind as you've asked this:
>Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety. - Book of Proverbs, Chapter 11, Verse 14
There is no way to make any state with power that can be controlled. People always find a way. This logic can also be applied to states, power corrupts all.
Could you elaborate further on the concept of this "bare minimum"?Literally dismantle the state until it’s just the bare minimum, a thing to uphold law and people choose to voluntarily protect.
Just look up Robert NozickCould you elaborate further on the concept of this "bare minimum"?
The minimum is the concept of a state, a organization that upholds law.Could you elaborate further on the concept of this "bare minimum"?
Yeah, but what law? Like, all of the laws currently in place in the U.S, or is there a particular example of law that you have in mind? The minimum is the concept of a state, a organization that upholds law.
>They don't know about the reconstructionists
>implying anyone would care about the reconstructionistsOk now somebody ask me who the reconstructionists are
Basically it’s just a constitution and maybe if you want to get more brave you could hold elections to add or remove some. The more state minded people just want the state to be completely voluntary.Yeah, but what law? Rushdoony was keyed doe>implying anyone would care about the reconstructionists
It's an interesting concept, certainly, but, since we are calling it "Christian Minarchism", is it really preferable to have what I'm guessing is law that upholds God's will in this system, rather than in another that would enforce it more heavily? I'm not sure where the "Christian" part of it fits in, unless the participants under the system all just happen to be Christians.Basically it’s just a constitution and maybe if you want to get more brave you could hold elections to add or remove some. yes the law will be based on mosaic law, people are encouraged to behave like christians since forcing christianity on a nation rarely works. nvm I think it is?
