• Happy pride month, xisters of the schlog!

Why do people care about operating softwares so much?

I only really care if it looks good ion care bout anything else. Win 10 is too flat and also fucking gay because it keeps forcing me to do updates
Luckily Win 11 is far less intrusive with updates, in my experince i found out you have to shut down your PC to update Win 11 unlike in Win 10 where they force you to update while your PC is still on, plus updates are normally under 10 minutes.

They want to fit in with other people, such as Windows 11 being the gist of the joke in Linux communites. I use Gentoo now but only because it uses less resources and my system doesn't lock up when doing basic tasks. The other reason is that I don't want to be forced to have a pride flag on the taskbar.

Windows 11 is glowie shit. I use it because I’m too lazy to do anything about it (it was preinstalled on my new computer) and I constantly feel like my data is being harvested. Windows 10 also had that feel but like, less. I miss Windows 7.

Windows 10 AND 11 fucking sucks man, i wish i could stay with Windows 7.
This doesn't matter to me, it's just an operating system in my eyes, albeit we didn't actually need Win 11 to exist anyway.
I hate Windows 11 because they rearranged everything for no reason, I'm riding it out with Windows 10 for as long as I can and even then I have to use retrobar and openshell
This is 100% reasonable though,no one wants to have to get used to a new OS after already being comfortable with the old one.

Why doe? What is wrong with it? I like Win 11 more becuase it doesn't shove forced updates in my face unlike Win 10.
This is true! But I also find myself updating constantly with win11 albeit. Win11 literally takes up more space doe, not even being opinionated there lol. If I am being opinionated, win11 is ugly and annoying to navigate.

Personally i'd much rathee have Win 11 take up more space than have surpise updates like in Win 10.
