I've read that what is illegal is bringing many bibles into the country, as in for the sake of preaching it and distributing it instead of for personal use. In any case the Russian Patriarchate has a church in NK, if they were cracking down on the few believers we have there, the patriarch would know it and would call it out. Don't take this as me approving of North Korea's anti religious policies though, I am merely saying I would pick them over the west if I was forced to choose. Ideally I'd choose neither.
