It's clear that it's all due to complete chance. Everyone was born by complete chance. Just so happened that your sperm won the race, and that your sperm self didn't die in the testes. It was born just in time to participate in that race and so it is for every one of your forefathers. This allows you to develop the brain functions necessary for consciousness and once those functions are disabled through death it ceases. You become a lump of meat that is just shaped like "you".
 
I am a philosophical zombie and have to curate what I expose myself to not be swayed by my agreeableness
 
I wouldn't care. People around me may not have consciousness, I may not have consciousness, it doesn't matter if it doesn't benefit or harm me somehow.
