Discussion What would be the worst possible novel you can think of?

I did not like The Handmaid’s Tale for whatever reason. The intrigue of whether the characters would get caught or not was interesting, but other than that the commentary felt stale and unfocused, the ending was confusing and I only realized what happened when someone else pointed it out, and I disliked the suspension of disbelief I had to hold to make it work. Maybe it was revolutionary for its time, but as a modern little chuddy it does not do it for me.

Anything Gayn Trand wrote. It's all "muh heckin individualismerino". Also, all the characters are one-dimensional and shit.
