My favorite animals are always changing so I don't really have favorites unless I'm fixated on a specific kind right now, which I'm not. This is especially so with dinosaurs. I used to watch dinosaur nerd content all the time and know a good amount, but I stopped watching because I saw the paleo community on youtube degenerating in multiple ways.

Firstly I watched most of the videos that were out there and thus had a hard time finding videos on things.
Secondly, paleo content was starting to become a popular clickbait meta, IE the videos are becoming less about autistic species profiles and more about sensationalized showmanship. Extinct zoo's videos are an almost strawman teir example of what I am talking about.
Thirdly, it is becoming more and more apparent to me that the community, by nature of it's STEM topic, is filled with "Ifuckinglovescience", "the science says" and "source?" types, IE subhuman insectoid worker ants who don't think for themselves unless a paper said it first. Naturally, these people are absolute breadtube teir faggots like TREY the explainer who dress up as minoan dancer femboys and do jojo poses in public. IE IE IE people who need to be eaten alive by a pack of torvoGODS.

Even when I tried to escape deeper into the autistic tunnels of the community, it was nice until almost every single one of them would inevitably slip up and whine about conservatives or feel the need to remind you how racist some historical biologist was for no reason. These slip ups reframed the rest of their channels to me and made me realize they were just as faggy and useful idiots as the others, but were just good at hiding it.

Around this time the spec evo medium was taking off after CM coseman's all tommorows went viral, and I enjoyed a lot of homebrew genuine and earnest autism kino speculative worlds and biota, but this quickly wore off when these projects became trendy, common, and a good way to gather a cult following around yourself who will suck you off so much that you learn to ignore all criticism and put whatever your whim tells you to put in your project. Especially when sapient life comes up, you will find them to be reflections of the progressive soy mindset of the author. Every. Fucking. Time. The worst cases are when someone makes a sapient species evolve from their otherwise good spec world, and through the history and culture they write for this species, they reveal that their understanding of humanity is entirely dictated by leftist college mindsets, and reveal themselves to be faggot leftist indiginous people worshiping beanbag soyboy who grew up watching propaganda films. I should explain how they do this. Well, what you often see is that they just make their civilizations alien versions of IRL nations, they also tend to frame it this way. There is LE GOOD noble savages who are perpetual victims and can do NO wrong. If they do anything harmful its explained away as something they had to do from a sympathetic angle. Then there are the EVIL expansionist fash/capitalist empires who take and take and take and are usually intolerant bigots. Then, there are the GOOD nice countries full of open minded good leftists and soyboys who do all the innovation that those stupid chuds are too rigid to experiment with and they also treat the tribals like equal nations with respect and reverence. Its absolutely awful how strawmany these worldbuilding projects can get. The fiction an ameteur writes is often a window into their soul, and their souls are often rotten and corrupted.

The only solace I get in this medium is finding small hidden gem channels that use AI text to speech (which reliably scare off the special type of beanbag faggots that otherwise infest the community, because they can't tolerate AI anything because its hurting muh career victims like """""artists""""" and muh environment because of muh blockchain and muh hyperaccountability for people I don't like). Those people are not as fake as the faggots and I like them. I especially like it when faggots come across these videos and complain about how they aren't contentslop like everything else they consume. Unfortunately, sometimes hidden gems let popularity get to their heads if they make it and show their true colors of being annoying faggots who act like they are ecelebs once they get a following.

I wish there was an ecology/paleo nerd community for chuds. Its all s and redditors right now.
