can't help but notice that the most 'heated' discussions (by heated i mean that people here swear like sailors) usually occur in religious/theological threads. How so?
Religon is a topic that has always sparked heated discussion

New to Christianity; I don't know the differences between the denominations.
They all have their own little quirks as each one is like a culture of it's own, but they only exist because people couldn't agree with eachother, personally I think the concept of denominations is stupid, it's just another thing causing division among Christians, God never said "Make a bunch of denominations" or something stupid like that.

You can't really get around this though if you're a Christian, so just find a church that you agree with the most and don't care about the denominations too much unless their beliefs conflict with God's word, the most important part is reading the Bible, and on a side note the most accurate translation is NASB.

you know what, after careful consideration, all of them.

Where's Coptic/Tewahedo Christianity, Nestorian Christianity, Catholicism (Eastern Rites), Buddhism, Neo-Gnosticism, Jehovah's Witnesses and Mormons, Shintoism, CaoDaiism, etc?
