what do you think of mobile games?

been playing them longer than some of you have been alive. well 2. i play 2. and since 2012 i have probably dropped thousands on them.
Lol at how someone born in 2012 can be 13 years old

most of them are made for profit and nothing else, like dear god the amount of anime gacha idle games on the play store as of now is unparalleled
offline games or ones that actually offer free2play progression or actual gameplay like brawl stars are ok thoughever
>brawlstars is actual gameplay

itโ€™s slop.

When I was a kid, there were some very gemmy phone games. Nowadays, however, the mobile gaming industry is purely about milking every last cent out of customers with endless microtransactions. And, unfortunately, I fear that the console and PC gaming industries are headed down that path as well.

Here's a bit of nostalgia for the other 5 users over 25 on here:

This was the first attempt to really combine a phone with a game console, and it was endlessly mocked for looking like a taco and supposedly being a gimmick. Oh, dear... how far we've fallen.

i donโ€™t care about the console and pc gaming part of what you wrote but only me and like 3 other people are going to understand this

buying a gaming phone is like buying a gaming laptop
Perhaps but there were several reasons I bought this phone, and even the gaming aspect of it is still used with me because I play chess and in order to run the chess engine effectively, I require the extra power.

The battery life is also astounding because of the huge battery and the chip's efficiency. Furthermore, there are several other features which I appreciate, such as the hidden front camera, the lack of a back camera bump, and the screen is great too.

All this meanwhile the price was literally less than a standard crapple iPhone at like 650 USD.

Advertisement-hell cashgrab, usually low quality, phone explodes when running anything decent

most games i play on phone are old handheld emulated on delta - when i am especially bored

I played the shit out of the whole angry birds franchise (except for go, epic, and new games.)

why not angry birds epic? do you not have it? you canโ€™t get it anymore so you had to get it back then

pixel dungeon is the most keyed mobile game
everything else in 2025 is either actual toddlerslop or games for people with gambling addictions, so only other stuff i have are old apks. even then i only ever touch them if i know im going to be waiting in line for a while
