Remakes tend to be awful in general, I don't think I've ever played a good one. I thought black mesa was cool when I was like 12 but I realized how much worse it was when I actually played it years later.

HL1 and opposing force deathmatch basically clear everything else, they’re loads of fun especially on servers where you automatically get the long jump module
