Discussion What are your honest thoughts on sexual education?

My school was entirely scientific about it, it's part of the science curriculum. It emphasized abstinence using hard facts, so it's keyed in my book.

As long as it's just "the birds and the bees" I really couldn't care less.
But if it over-steps that very simple line, that's when it becomes an issue and it should be addressed.
Nigga just telling them that sex exists and what it is isnt enough. They need to learn how to practice it safely, which encompass a wide degree of topics. Also telling little kids about "If a stranger touches your no no zone, thats not ok!"

Honestly kids learn this shit themself even before sex ed starts, but it is proven that it lowers teen pregnancy and std spread %, also it needs to be obligatory for migrants who don't get that you can't rape, sex ed african volunteer programs really helped africans with family planning, in turn helping both kids and parents to live a better more stable life
Many people still dont know the way to properly put a condom on. It's why human error causes condoms to only have a success rate of 87%. When only considering proper use it becomes 98%. Simple shit like trying to put it on upside down, getting one thats too small or big, tearing it while trying to open the packet etc.
