Serious What are the things you want to do before you die?

Designates a thread as a serious discussion
What do your parents and everyone else in your environment think about it? Did it influence anything about your daily life? Weren't you active in your local church?
I don’t want to cause my family any trouble or concern, so I’ve hidden such beliefs from them. As far as they know regarding my relations with the faith, they seem to just think that I have an interest in studying Eastern Orthodoxy while still remaining Baptist. Not much of my daily life is different. I just want to find a parish once I move out so that I can actually become a catechumen and join the church, since without it, these beliefs are hardly ever put into action. In terms of what has changed, I guess I do the sign of the cross more often in private, starting and ending my prayers with it, and I also pray in front of an icon of Christ that my grandmother (she’s also Baptist but I asked for one for Christmas under the excuse of “holy room decoration”and she, being such a charitable and loving old lady, provided it to me gladly) gave me as a Christmas gift, but my public life has remained the same. I do still attend a Baptist church because I want to keep my parents happy, and I also don’t want to cause concern to the other old folk there who appreciate having me around.

She’s the only person I’ve talked to in my personal life about it, yes. She herself said the last time we spoke of it that she feels more hesitant about researching and diving into other denominations/branches than I’ve felt (since I’ve already chosen to “convert” to this, after all), but that she’d like to start reading some texts from the church fathers soon to do her own spiritual studies of the faith.

i want to make my own youth group to raise a less faggy community, and i want to be able to learn every single type of media. for example, ive only dabbled in forging and pottery (like kiln stuff) i want to become close to mastery in welding, pottery, all paints, forges, blacksmithing in general, casting jewellery, etc
i would also love to work on an oil rig for at least a few months, its always been my dream job to work with heavy machinery - or id work as a crane operator. id love to fish.

i dont think i should die anytime soon.
