I have no major idea of any Pokemon game past gen 7 and that's because I actually like ultra beasts (I transheart buzzwole and celesteela) and z-moves (only status z moves, offensive z moves are lame)

Z-Moves are cringe, not a fan of the forced battle gimmicks at all but terrastilization is probably the best one of the lot because its minor but can make a difference (literally only in comp, doesn't matter in the slightest for regular play).

I should actually play Pokemon Crystal all the way to the end and finish it sometime. Out of all the times I played I only reached Red once and got rekt immediately

I like gold and silver but there's no good way to power level up to red, his whole team is 10 levels above blue (his pikachu is 20).

Pikachu is hardly a threat though

No he isn't you just need a ground type and it cant hurt you, its charm is more of a threat at that point. His wall is that damn snorlax because its so tanky not much can kill it easily.

Gen 4 was the best gen. Best overall designs. Best remakes (HG and SS are the best games and it’s not even close). Best starters. Good world maps. Everything went down hill after gen 5 and all the 3D games are bad. If gen 5 didn’t flop, the games might not have gone from sovlfvl slop to mega goyslop

100% agree here (not on the other stuff), though I personally wouldn't put Gen 3 designs any lower

Gen 3 designs are great, but I still put Gen 4 higher. Maybe Gen 3 would be #2 for me. Gen 1 is overhyped design wise. Gen 2 is over hated, but has lots of meh designs. Gen 5 is over hated, but it also has some meh designs. Gen 6 is awful. Gen 7 had some cool designs, but I’d put it below 5 and 2. Gen 8 was worse than 6. Gen 9 above Gen 6 but only just.
