Gatr pride world-wide nigga, he's my first pick but I sometimes pick cyndaquil because Johto has really good water types I wanna use.

This is a perfectly valid critique and I wish they'd go back to making real 'mons, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't like Inteleon or (either) Decidueye.

I begrudgingly settled for Quaquaval in Gen 9 but аny positive opinions I have on it are hard carried by fanart (Some, I've seen some I liked, some that was still awful), as the actual in-game model and animations are still really gross, especially the frog legs. Still beats Fuecaca and Sprigajeeto. Gen 10... I don't have high hopes for Gen 10 at all. It's either gonna be KANTOOOOOOOO galore (Hey guys look, it's Pikachu! New gimmick forms for Charizard and Pikachu!!) or an underwhelming mess.

I boxed my starter in Paldea kek, I used to think my least favorite starter trio was Sinnoh's but they beat its record. I'm a stickler about using the region's local pokemon but I'd rather just use the old ones when it comes to those games. I think Gen 5 was the last time it wasn't 2/3 of the starters being dumb anthros.

The opposition is a flamboyant gay duck that shakes its ass at you for the entire battle. Come on
Also that duck could've evolved into something cool and dapper like quaxly was letting on AND like rowlet was letting on but noooooooooo we can't do that because now every starter needs to be desinged around a cultural theme of the real life country the region is based on. I blame fakemon youtubers. They are extremely autistic about making regions based off of IRL places and making EVERY single fakemon based off of something from that real life place instead of just independently designing monsters like the old games did.

I switched to using a Floatzel before it got to that point, so I wasn't considering that. Entirely fair if those are really the battle animations. I have seen the running one on /vp/ though, which I geg at.

Actually I'm pretty sure the nugen games have your rival get the weaker starter, so IIRC Clavell would have had the cat. Same point though, I didn't know enough about the croc when I had the chance to pick. I'll do a replay with Fuecoco later.

I think I just like Quaxly because it has the blue eyes/white pupils thing that Sobble and Helioptile also have. I do wish the evo was better though, like something that more closely resembles a real duck.

That simply has to be bait, its only fags who like these nu-gen starters so he's probably one of those too. This is the average pikacel, nothing compared to a raicharyan.
