Hello schloggas and schloggettes. I do not know how many of you are actually interested in PC gaming, or PC building more specifically, but a while ago my graphics card (a shitty AMD Radeon RX 580 2048SP from Amazon) died and I haven't been able to use my PC for months ever since. (Never EVER EVER EVER EVER buy any of those graphics cards if you them for sale online, they are REFURBISHED CRYPTOMINING CARDS FROM CHINA. They are not worth the money and, as you can observe, I learnt the hard way).
Because of this, I thought it would be a good idea to retouch a few things on my own computer cuz, back when I made my first build, I made the mistake of buying a bunch of crappy quality cheap parts, and that ended up backfiring me and my PC. This is all the progress I have made so far

Picture of my PC I took minutes before I began writing this thread. There's still a loooot of things left to do with it. Well not really a lot of them but yeah.
Ok so, first of all, the first thing I changed was the motherboard. I used to have an MSI A520M-A Pro, a budget low-end AM4 socket mobo, paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X. A520 chipset motherboards are ASS, not because they are of bad quality, but because... B550 motherboards literally exist
By saving a few bucks more for a B550 mobo, you can get access to stuff like overclocking and many other features, apart from them being more compatible with beefier AM4 CPUs. I ended up buying an MSI B550-A Pro (yeah same brand and series as my previous A520 motherboard) and of course I'm still using my Ryzen 5 5600X on it. God why are AMD's mid-range motherboard chipsets always so fucking gooooooddd
Anyways, back to the things I've changed on my PC, next we got the PC case! I used to have a Phanteks XT Pro. I heard good things about this case due to its quality and cheap price and that's why I bought it at first, but for whatever reason mine arrived defective. Stuff like the screwholes for the screws that hold the side panels in place were loose and they didn't screw in properly, so I had to return it and I got my monet back, and with that monet I got the Nox Hummer ZX! Pretty old case (was released in 2015) but it has aged well and it sells for like 50-60 bucks. It also has 2 5.25'' bay slots. I want to put a DVD drive in one of them cuz I transheart physical mediarinos o algo
I also changed the CPU cooler, I don't even remember what was the old one I had but I changed it to a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE ARGB. It's good, includes mounts for up to LGA 1700 and AM5 CPUs, and it's cheap! I also bought a few additional RGB fans from the same brand cuz my case didn't come with any of those and well yeah

Oh and before I forget I also got 2 500GB M.2 NVMes cuz I'm fucking awesome
I sadly don't have money to buy a graphics card yet BUUUUUUUTTTT, I'm planning to go with a second hand RTX 3070, they usually sell for like $250, which is really nice.
And that's all for now. Sorry if this thread is a huge hard to swallow fucking wall of ESL text but yeah, what do you guys think of my progress so far? I'm pretty excited to get my 'puter up and running and I'm thrilled to know your thoughts bout it
