So who dictates the severity? Do you just get to decide which sin can be dismissed as inconsequential? Do you believe God to just be an arbitrary rule setter? You think you can bargain with God on the matters of sin? This is why I have no respect for muslims or women, there's no deeper thought behind your words or beliefs, it's all totally arbitrary and without meaning, no reverence for your religion, you only see it as a set of rules to disregard at your own convenience.that would make sense if all sin was equal. why would a rapists sin be the same as someone who lied over eating a cookie?
What a barbaric thing for him to say. Terrible!Yes, I trust the people, I've only gotten my news of X and /pol/ for years now.

erm the ones I did are forgivable and the ones i didn't aren't, next question. So who dictates the severity? Do you just get to decide which sin can be dismissed as inconsequential? Not all sins are equal. There are venial and mortal sins, one more serious than the other. That's where confession comes in.i don’t think you’re understanding my question. if sin leads to hell, but you can be forgiven for it as long as you ask then even a serial killer could be like oh God forgive me and he’ll be fine. does there have to be a certain intention? does he have to pay by feeding the poor? does he have to make up for it? is all sin equal xi?
Western distinction albeit, it relies on the whole purgatory thing to make a practical distinction between the twoNot all sins are equal. There are venial and mortal sins, one more serious than the other. That's where confession comes in.
All sin is equal in God's eyes because all sin separates us from Him. The only way to salvation is through the graceful gift that God (Jesus Christ) provides to us, that being forgiveness and redemption for as long as we accept Him as God and as our forgiving redeemer. There certainly has to be an "intention" to it, if one could call it that. there was no need for that eeennttiiireeeee second half this isn’t a challenging statement. in islam we have major sin and regular sin, major sin being things like shirk (idol worshipping and black magic) and you can search up a list of major and minor sin.So who dictates the severity? yeah no shit mate but that’s not any respectable and he has zero source for his claims. of course a certain level of modesty around your family is necessary but the whole point is men in your family are MAHRAMS which are men who cannot have lustful feelings for you and therefore you can show your hair and look pretty etc. What a barbaric thing for him to say. Terrible!

i understand the genuine intention behind it, of course God would know your pure intention. however, is that it? asking for forgiveness? there’s no change needed, no sacrifice like feeding the poor and giving to charity? fasting? i’m sure there’s somethingAll sin is equal in God's eyes because all sin separates us from Him. You're Roman Catholic, right?Xhe's orthodox
It's just through His gift. We believe there is no amount of works that could "repay" for our sin. We value those works, those are great things, they guide us closer to God, but they aren't what's getting us to be with God.i understand the genuine intention behind it, of course God would know your pure intention. however, is that it? asking for forgiveness? there’s no change needed, no sacrifice like feeding the poor and giving to charity? fasting? i’m sure there’s something
