I want to improve In my art skills. I get kinda jealous looking at artists because they can draw shit they like and what they see in their mind, I don’t want to be a commission cuck and waste hundreds on commissions.

I just try to draw something I like at least once every day, and pushing outside of my comfort zone by trying new things with my art usually brings more improvement. It also helps to look at the way other people draw and try to think about their techniques, or how you would go about trying to use them in your own art and to suit your own style.

Critiquing your art to the point that you can see errors and figure out how to fix them is optimal, but critiquing it to the point you lose your own confidence is not.
