1910 - Liberal president Porfirio diaz enrages both indio peasantry (because he pays them almost nothing under serf tier conditions) and liberal elite (Because he keeps rigging elections for decades). He jobs to a coup by Lazaro Cardenas who expropriates the oil industry from foreign companies and sells it back to the people he expropriated it from during WW2 to make a lot of money. He scales back secular education and scales up the land reform and arms the peasantry. He finally stabilized the country and stamped out all regional warlords. Stabilizing development ensued between 1940's and 1970's in which the economy reached average growth of 6.8% per year and industrial production rose 8% annually.
1940s-1970s - The vaguely socialist rhetoric of the previous two presidents were slowly backtracked on by the subsequent ones. This was a strange era operating on a sort of corrupted corporatism. With the military, puppet labor unions, huge monopolies and the government as the organs. The businesses would be owned by politicians and family members of politicians. A lot of them were failures but they could be kept afloat by the oil money. Loans would also only be reserved for these corporations while your average Mexican would be denied these loans, so they just started businesses by themselves, unregistered. The government also shot some student protestors and supressed communist guerillas. Typical Latin American dirty war stuff of this era. This domination by the PRI party continued until the 80's when the oil prices crashed. Collapsing the Mexican economy.
1980 - Carlos Salinas saved the economy by privatizing all of the state owned monopolies. This also created massive corruption and a handful of men got very very rich. This corruption also contributed to the rise of cartels lol. Anyways the main point is now NEOliberalism is the dominant force
2018 - Humanist Social Democracy Liberalism is now the dominant force under AMLO. He renationalized some industries, built some public works and got millions out of poverty. Cartel violence is still rampant and the government doesn't really have an answer besides trying to lessen poverty and hoping that makes people stop joining cartels.
2024 - His Jewish successor is elected

I imagine myself in Tlaxcala as TLAHUICOLE, leading my Platoon. Our mission is to stop aztec dogs from advancing. We mow down aztec dogs but they keep coming. I shoot aztec dogs but I run out of arrows so I draw my macuahuitl and begin slaughtering aztecs, since aztecs are way more psychially inferior to me, I slay them by dozens. Then I get shot, but I didn't fall, I kept fighting. Then shot again and again. aztecs were shooting me from a distance like the cowards they are. They capture my and make tie me to a post like the cowards they are. Since they are way more physically inferior , they need a handicap. Making me fight aztec dogs one by one. I slaughter them as they come, on after the other they fall to my club. The club that would take 2 regular men to weild normally. The cowards then gang up on me and hit me from behind. I lie down, facing up to sky and I see QUETZALCOATL (Tengri) smiling at me, I smile back… Then I woke up, in the SUN, my homeland. My TLAXCALTEC brethen gave me a warm welcome to the battlefield of the SUN. I finally made it, I finally can join Huitzilopochtli in battle...
