Maybe there should be an invite only board on this forum for older users (mentally or preferably physically) so most of the teenage attention seeking stuff stays on other boards. Think of it as a right of passage and an induction into schlog hall of fame. Interesting idea. We could consider something like this further in the admin chat, in more specific detail of how it would function.

I dislike the idea. A part of the appeal of the open internet is the fact that it is open internet. Closing a part of the site off as a secret-invite-only-no-girls-allowed(based) club is like the whole gem pass on the farty, very discord like (you VILL fear the boogyman). Besides, if it gets made, eventually all relevant conversations will migrate there leaving the open part of the website a shell of it's former self which sounds like a great way to kill the schlog. It's a selfish, short sighted idea.

Yeah, now that I think more of it, you're likely right in this prediction, but I'd want to see more particular details for how Doll wants to plan this thing if it is actually something he has in mind that's more than a simple, passing thought. Maybe he has something more in mind to prevent that sort of thing from happening, and of preventing it from becoming too much of another heckin' secret club.

The least catastrophic way to implement it would probably be to make it publicly visible to everyone, only restricting posting rights, and to also give it a clearly defined theme/topic limit so it doesn't suck up all the threads. Maybe even put a thread limit on it, to play further into the quality >>> quantity thing. Still against it, just providing infallible guidelines to those bold enough to ruin the site.
