Well, i never banned anyone for posting an IP to nutopia on soyjak.party so i don't know. Also, believe me i do not know how to ddos a server.

I'll take you for your word, of course. Just seems like there's an increasing aggravation from the Nutopia folk for those reasons, so maybe it's something Froot could answer when he gets back from wherever the heck he is.
I did this already, i warned many times for two days straight and they just kept rejoining and spamming. No use.
I am sorry for those who feel hurt or attacked because of this server and that it """""took""""" nutopia's spot but i genuinely feel like it is for the best if both of our communities unify, i have no idea who owns the server but if they can send some private message to me on here i am sure we could negotiate something. I also think nutopia was not active at all before all of this too. So it is just stupid to have drama over this SNCA. I think we all want a big active server with cool maps and an active community, the "lag" argument can't really be used, i don't think i heard a complaint about anyone experiencing much lag today (Or maybe everyone who was in the server at that time was coincidentally all european geg?)

You do realise how arrogant that is, right? "I know you guys were around first, but we came along without putting in nearly as much work (shitty hardware, location, latency, plugins [fucking rtd, really?]), but now we should go halfsies, teehee X3". The "right" think to do here is... obviously let the server that already exists and is fully functional be the "official" one. Did you really think you would just ddos a server into smitherreens (nice 2x failed attempts today alone, btw) would be realistic justification for us to merge? All it did was make people realise how retarded you are for splintering off a server that already exists (that server being NUTOPIA). The most shocking part? To this day you have not joined... not once. How can you possibly hope to "unify a playerbase" if you have not even put the barest of effort to get to KNOW that playerbase. It's repulsive, and makes you sound like a corporate ai generated response. Pls don't waste my time with a reply until you at least think of a good response to: "Why did I start a new server without even trying the one that exists? Do I have ulterior motives poorly hidden"?

Nutopia is called "nu"topia because it splintered from the official TF2 server we had last year, which was the original Soytopia.

Our TF2 server was being DDoSed at the same time as theirs, it was likely a third party DDoSing both.

so i felt like reviving soytopia would have been a good idea because i thought things were abandoned or there wasn't much of a chance for that server to be contacted or worth contacting to begin with.the goal of Soytopia was never to take over or undermine Nutopia. It is okay that you guys have your own server, keep that to yourself doe. If you want to negotiate still contact me but if that's not the case keep the anger to yourself.

Yeah, i didn't really play nutopia because it was so dead. When i tried to join there wasn't anyone. This is why i said i didn't play on it because i never really had the chance to actually experience the server and never thought there would be any chance for it to be really that populated to begin with. Setting up an official sharty server was just easier. And i had no way of contacting you.

I understand your anger about the situation but we can always negotiate man, if you want some plugins and maps and so on to be added to the server and be given some sort of role to help with the server you absolutely can. Or the servers can co-exist. Gamenights and other things will still be hosted on Soytopia because it is more pratical, safe and trustworthy. Understandably so.
Also more about that cs:source stuff. I helped steve with this too and was the first person to approach him about getting in communion with soyjak.party, i'd like to have a counter strike source gamenight someday too, i enjoy doing this and bringing the community together, as much of an annoyance it is to sometimes do all this work it pays off. Try to not consider der janjans the most evil people on earth or something.

I discussed things with the owner of the other server, the advertising should stop which is good. Both servers will exist separately. Atleast we are on a better note now with the situation cleared up.
