I didnt approve that, when I saw it the pedos in the comments got banned and then the post proceeded to get deleted.

No, I don't think there's an approval log. There MIGHT be but only for administrators or moderators, (correct me if I'm wrong).

I think you should be able to post and comment under a VPN if you are logged into your account, i dont see why it should be a problem, im pretty sure users under a VPN cannot create accounts.
Also, i think it would be a nice thing if it didnt show you your IPs whenever you go into your account section, if someone ever managed to guess/breach your password they would easily be able to see them and know which city youre from, yeah its not that serious since there are probably millions of people living in your city but some people just like to keep their information private, and it can also be useful for stalkers and doxxers.
I think it would be way better if it just showed you a fraction of it, for example: 255.xxx.xx.xx5
or if it was only viewable for administrators and moderators.
@Warrior-Z i know you are just a mod, but im pretty sure you have contact with the admins right? Can you forward them these suggestions if so?

Do you mean a system as in you create your account without a VPN, and when you have the account you're granted permissions of using a VPN? I think that's what you mean which is fair albeit imagine the spam since that straight up would bypass the comment cooldown or new ban evasions tactics like creating multiple accounts. (Though we can just ban every account that has that IP of origin I think)

If we do that then your IP should be logged as soon as you create an account so we know your IP of origin.

Well then we dont need a VPN and those "breaches" or "guesses" barely happen, I'm not even sure if it has happened before aside from someone leaking their own account. Either way instead of a VPN that can just be solved by what you said here:

Either way, no need to fear some "breach" that's not gonna happen, after all these years and everything the 'ru has went through, I doubt it unless you make your password obvious or leak it.

Alright, well, until a situation like that happens, I'm not sure if we need such a system. It's up to DOLL though.

Well technically only moderators, administrators and (You) can see your own IP, unless some fictional "breach" or "password guess" happens.
THOUGH, I will say your justifications for a system are logically sound for someone who wants to take an extra step in case such a scenario happens.

If you don't want your ip leading to your general area then buy or use residential proxies as that won't be detected as a vpn. I recommend mysterium.

i guess youre right, i mostly said the ip stuff because of other users, all of my accounts have rather secure and random passwords, but im pretty sure theres at least 1 nigger in the ru who has theirs set to "password123" or something like that geg
its also kind of pointless to show all of the ips youve posted/commented from to the account owner, like, i really dont see any use to it, i guess its useful for jannies but what would a normal user do with that info?
