Personally, I think maybe we'd be better off with more separation, I don't see why we should have music, television, videogames and anime in the same board, why not split them up? That way if you go to /v/ you get video games, /a/, anime, /m/, music, etc. What's the point of going to one board for a combination of everything that's probably a hell to search through? This is just my opinion but I'd rather have more varied topics separated than have things get combined into one thing always. I can see how some people would disagree with this, but in my opinion, I couldn't care less if people didn't use them very often, if anything it would give statistics on how much more popular videogames are than anime or music, etc. Regardless, I just like separation a lot more, its more descriptive than adding shit that you might aswell jsut call /vague/ or /collectionofshit/

We've had /a/ for a long time, and it never became active. I understand where you are coming from, but I do not think just putting a board on the top of site is enough for a community to grow. Maybe if the 'arty's ppd hit 40k out of nowhere, people will start using /a/. The big issue I see with just having /a/ is that 4chan has an /a/ that has more ppd than the sharty has all together. Why would people use the 'arty's tranime board over 4cvcks? It would be wiser to put all media together, so they help each other grow. Then once a community grows, give them a board. Albeit maybe Nudev's thread watcher will be the change that allows your /a/ to become active.

If I actually liked anime, I'd probably fit well into a /ma/ board because I speak a little japanese and it'd probably give me a reason to do so, but I stopped learning it because I just don't like it that much and have no reason to learn it, don't like anime or manga and one of my primary main reasons as to why I don't like it is just how shit the trending / popular anime shows are every month or so and how oversexual the lot of them are too. If you had to ask me, the only animes you ever have to watch ever are like, Death Note (has it's flaws, but is very entertaining), Lain (flaws, still very entertaining, very atmospheric, allows you to breathe and observe and the pacing is slow which I like more than the shitty fast paced animes that jump all over the place), JoJo (just very entertaining) and maybe Evangelion and that's just about it for me, but even Evangelion has it's weird fetishy scenes that I just find uncomfortable, like the very first scene with Rei and Shinji that just didn't have to happen like that and yet it did. Overall, out of all the animes I've seen I can't remember any real good ones apart from JoJo, Lain and Death Note, because if I'm going to watch a show, it has to be interesting or thought provoking. Otherwise, if I want comedy, I'd just watch a non anime show like IT Crowd or Top Gear (brit comedy is great sometimes, tends to be the older back you go atleast and who doesn't love clarkson?) But apart from that, pretty much everything anime can do, can be done in different media like books, films and videogames to the point where Anime is just so obsolete to me because all it seems to provide for people is sexual gratification. That's why Hentai exists, I suppose. If I'd have to bet on it, hentai is more popular than anime itself, if you go to Japan, there's entire stores of that shit stocked up to the brim with just porn.

I'm very disgusted and offput by the oversexualization of things in media. And Anime is probably one of the worst offenders as it is by far the most unreasonably sexual, and I don't know why.
